There's a few on here who admire him. Maybe they'll tell us.What is it that 1 in 5 see in Farage?
An arrogant liar born with a silver spoon in his mouth and who gives a shit about nothing and no one
nah, they hate the toriesWhen it comes to it, expect a load of those Reform to turn back Tory
what reform MPs? there won't be many unless something major changesEven then I wouldn’t be surprised if a deal is done with the Tories post election that means Reform MP’s become Tories. I don’t think it would be a merger as such, more an agreement to defect and then close the Reform Party. Especially if it’s the difference between Tories being in opposition or the Lib Dem’s being in opposition. Even more especially if Farage is elected to parliament.
Yeah, this has really pissed me off. MY son has just turned 18 and can't vote as he doesn't have a DL - he doesn't have the co-ordination to drive - or a passport (our fault that), so no photo ID. The cases or election fraud are teeny tiny. They just introduced legislation to stop young people voting for Labour.
He doesn't connect with "normal" people. He connects with bigots.Man of the people
To be fair, as well as obviously playing on people’s fears, he’s a very good communicator, even if the substance behind it is questionable
I’m not sure Sunak and Starmer, or a lot of politicians, have that ability to connect with normal people. Starmer made sure he’s got some good communicators is his shadow cabinet though. It shouldn’t be as important as it is but in this day and age it’s essential
Thank you! Didn't think of that.Apply for photo ID to vote (called a ‘Voter Authority Certificate’)

Think he can sort one of these

Based on the most recent poll they’re predicted to get 3. That could be the difference between a Tory or Lib Dem opposition. You also can’t rule out Farage’s ambition to be the Tory Leader. Assuming he can win Clacton.what reform MPs? there won't be many unless something major changes

I read these in order without noticing the post quoted. Thought torch was being a bit harsh on his own son!He doesn't connect with "normal" people. He connects with bigots.

I think meat and dairy are the most common food types for E. coli outbreaks but it can quite literally be anything. I guess that they want to see how serious it gets before causing a panic. We all remember Edwina Curry and the salmonella egg scare. Back from a time when MP’s resigned from the cabinet when they fucked up.Great idea not to tell us what the food concerned is
Urgent health warning after E.coli outbreak linked to 'nationally distributed food item'
The UK Health Security Agency didn't name the food item thought to be responsible for the outbreak of E.coli but it has hospitalised around 37 people in England already.news.sky.com
I don’t get it
He speaks over people
Doesn’t answer the questions asked
Argues
Confronts
Doesn’t listen
Is combative
Not all skills of a good communicator
To be fair, I probably was. Annoyiing little sod.I read these in order without noticing the post quoted. Thought torch was being a bit harsh on his own son!
Looking at most of the reform voting population they see they Tories as part of the same liberal elite as Labour and the Lib Dems.Based on the most recent poll they’re predicted to get 3. That could be the difference between a Tory or Lib Dem opposition. You also can’t rule out Farage’s ambition to be the Tory Leader. Assuming he can win Clacton.
I think in reality though NW is probably right. A lot of people saying that they will vote reform will change their mind nearer the time or on the day. Tactically in most seats if you want to stop your MP being Labour or Lib Dem then Tory is your tactical vote in most cases with the possible exception of the seat Farage is standing in.
Ditto Johnson. How they get seen as anti-establishment is incredible.
I actually think the response to questions plays into a certain group really, as it's a 'normal' response to being irritated, rather than putting on a face and doing the politician's thing, so he comes across as more one of us than one of them as a result.Im talking when he’s out and about, the sanitised/controlled stuff. Interviews, tricky questioning etc outside of his comfort zone, not so good due to lack of substance
They both have photos taken drinking pints
Raiding the discounted in the commons bar, or a funeral.Tories are just incapable of looking normal drinking beer.
It's so beneath them after all. It's what the proles drink. Ugh.
Actually agree that it’s tipping the balance back a bit in the gerontocracy we have at the moment.
It’s called being a charlatan.I don’t think it’s just them. Your average man on the street (not sure about women so much - bet most think he’s a bit creepy) seem to quite like him, same as Johnson.
Not my cup of tea but as I say, he’s a good communicator so can speak to people in a way which many politicians can’t. A lot of it’s an act and just telling people what they want to hear, but it seems to work for him
My favourite one today is 90% of those on landing craft died on the first day. Mmmmmm it was catastrophic enough without making shit upWhen Nigel Farage was in Clacton he announced to his audience that 50% of 18-35 year olds don’t know what D Day is, which is obviously bollocks. On an unrelated note
He's clearly done that on purpose to game the algorithm and get more cash from twitter. More interactions more pay for blue ticks now. When Nigel Farage was in Clacton he announced to his audience that 50% of 18-35 year olds don’t know what D Day is, which is obviously bollocks. On an unrelated note

It shows two things
1. He knows how to grift, he's good at getting people to fund his next bag wether they agree or disagree with him
2. He doesn't actually give two fucks about the people that served this country
36% of people think we either need more of the same or to lurch further to the right
Getting to be an existential crisis for the tories now
Interestingly the way reform and tory votes are distributed this likely makes Ed Davey LOTO.

So young people aren’t being stopped from voting Labour?Thank you! Didn't think of that.
The policy is not to "stop" people from voting, but to make it unnecessarily difficult under the guise of fixing a problem that doesn't existSo young people aren’t being stopped from voting Labour?
Torch said it was to stop young people voting Labour. I really don’t see what the problem is with having to show some ID which proves eligibility to vote. The policy is not to "stop" people from voting, but to make it unnecessarily difficult under the guise of fixing a problem that doesn't exist
