"Betty Bradstock"
Close. 0/2 on the correct names there. Good effort.
Could do with some golden ones.Give him a knock, see if he has any spare eggs, I hear they're not bad!
Drop candidates because they're a bit racist
Ask people to vote for them anyway
Reform UK drops three candidates over offensive comments
The candidates will still appear on the ballot paper as it is too late to remove them.www.bbc.co.uk
So should we only let 18yo's have a fraction of the rights of a full adult because they're new?So you have to go through a long process even if the person lied to get the job and doesn’t possess the skills? Someone should have same rights at 1 day as 40 years? Seriously?
Surely you can write a law saying companies and organisations cannot own residential property and humans can only own one.Letting agencies snapping up properties is a huge issue.
I mentioned it earlier in the thread but developers selling large blocs of new developments to letting agencies who then rent them out for more than the cost of a mortgage on them needs to be looked at.
Be interesting to see how the Barcelona ban on airBnB's worksSurely you can write a law saying companies and organisations cannot own residential property and humans can only own one.
I've said it before and will say it again, housing needs to be seen as a place to live, not a thing to make money.
Whatever next? There will always be some people who need, or prefer, to rent. The relatively recent changes in taxation and other regulations for landlords have seen them selling their properties off, causing huge problems in the rental market whilst having no impact on the availability or price of houses for sale. There are simply too many people chasing too few properties. We will see how Labours plans for 1,500,000 new homes over the next 5 years progresses. Don’t hold your breath.Surely you can write a law saying companies and organisations cannot own residential property and humans can only own one.

The probationary period is not about their age, it’s about being new in a job.So should we only let 18yo's have a fraction of the rights of a full adult because they're new?
Of course there needs to be some kind of process to ensure new recruits are up to scratch and can be removed if they aren't capable or take the piss but I don't see why that should mean they have fewer rights elsewhere. And usually those that are there to take the piss will wait until the end of probation and start doing it, so should we extend probation to prevent that? How long? A year? Two years? Five? Ten?
Haha!

At least we don’t need content advisory warnings before Midsommer Murders.Boomers have had it so tough
Be interesting to see how our cross channel migrant traffic develops if the right wingers get hold of power in France. I have a feeling what we are seeing today is going to be a drop in the ocean compared to what they will send. With Germany tightening rules on migration as well and the UK likely getting a Socialist government…….

Would have stood a chance if we had left the European court on human rights.Socialist government! Starmers Labour, haha!
And I thought a tory government and brexit was supposed to sort out immigration anyway?
Would have stood a chance if we had left the European court on human rights.
What did they ever do for us?Bloody human rights!

Might’ve made a small difference with the boat crossings but those numbers don’t really move the dial
The issue has been post Brexit there was no plan around the employment requirements for certain industries and then really lax visa controls/implementation of these in certain areas. For example allowing dependents (and spouses I think) for student visas was just crazy when you’re trying to get the net number down
This is a Tory problem, they’ve focussed all their attention ‘stop the boats’ while not implementing a proper system tied in with industry and education requirements. Always makes me laugh as Bravermann the anti immigrant, oversaw record number of ‘legal’ arrivals…shambles
Unfortunately for us all this inability to address/resolve the issue has meant Farage/reform have been able to rear their ugly heads again
You are utterly obsessed with that ridiculously overused term racist. You always have been. Used in the right context at genuine bigots is fine but some of your ilk use it at anyone who want to discuss migration, positive discrimination , terrorism, population explosion, effects of migration on health services or even health issues ….and many other topics. What did they ever do for us?
I remember the days when you could be racist and abusive and others laughed along, not like nowadays when these wokes even stop the likes of Fritzl bringing up his children how he sees fit.
The UK is just a tad different To Russia and Belarus, well, for now anyway.Would also put us in with that select band of countries not signed up, Russia and Belarus!
Not sure the optics on that look very good.

He’s such a snowflake. Sue these people, sack that person. It’s cancel culture gone mad.Haha!
The boats don’t even have anything to do with it, that’s just the bogey man. They don’t like the plebs having too many rights. That’s the real reason they wanted Brexit and that’s why they want this. They just need an angle to trick the plebs.Leaving the ECHR is just the Right's next magic unicorn, the new Brexit.
'Leave this organisation and we'll all be so much better off - no more brown people, green and pleasant lands, it'll be like the 1960s again'
Didn't work with Brexit but definitely will this time.
You do know it’s not an accident that the numbers went up exponentially when we left the EU. We left the Dublin agreement, that was the deterrent. Brexit waved the green flag by taking us out of the Dublin agreement.Would have stood a chance if we had left the European court on human rights.
But that’s the direction of travel that’s interests you.The UK is just a tad different To Russia and Belarus, well, for now anyway.

If you’ve ever managed people you’ll know that this doesn’t work in theory. In reality it’s there to get rid of those not up to the job who’ve managed to lie/bullshit their way through the interview process.I wouldn’t have them replaced with anything, a new worker should have the same rights as ones who have been with the employer for longer.
Express thinks it will and telegraph and times and mail and sun lol and the tories and reform all think starmer is socialism on acidAnd even they don't believe that it will be anything like socialism.

Apparently the Sunday Times has endorsed Labour today. So either the Sunday Times has turned into a socialist rag or Labour under Starmer really isn’t that socialists after all.Express thinks it will and telegraph and times and mail and sun lol and the tories and reform all think starmer is socialism on acid
Then it really would be abusedSurely the real answer is make it possible to sack people for poor performance regardless of how long they’ve been there?
Don’t be so fucking ridiculous. The UK isn’t a kleptocracy or run by a psychopathic megalomaniac with rigged elections,More corrupt?!
Fuck off. I don’t want to be governed by a megalomaniac who invades other countries to give his people something other than domestic issues to worry about. But that’s the direction of travel that’s interests you.
