Kin ell. No wonder they won’t release the Russian report. They’re up to their necks in it.

If this was a private individual or organisation they'd be considered a danger to the UK's interests.

Just astonishing.

I'm sure the Tories, Tory shills and the media will be equally as disgusted by this as they were with Corbyn's links to Russia.

Zawahi will have to be dragged out kicking and screaming as while he is still in the inner circle he can influence and cover up his misdemeanours.

Is Sunak being set up to deny before a story regarding his own tax affairs breaks?

Might explain why he was so keen to brush Zahawi’s indiscretions with HMRC under the carpet.

that's a question you def give a quick no to unless you're hiding something. and sounds very much like a question that gets asked by someone that knows the answer

I’m old enough to remember the Tories shouting out Jimmy Carrs tax affairs. Lewis Hamilton too. Seem to remember when Cameron pointed the finger at Carr it turned out his own father was using the same scheme.

I'm quite surprised with how bad he is at PMQs. its not like you don't have a good idea what questions are coming and a chance to prepare your response but it just seems to be Corbyn and / or Ukraine every week

Yep.

Clealry the answers the spokesperson is giving and his refusal to get rid of Zahawi is because he's guilty of exactly the same so would have to apply the same standards to himself and resign.

For the tories Sunak has to stop or there will have to be a general election the country can’t have another non elected leader.

Would also explain why Zahawi won’t/can’t resign. Nothing’s changed. Deny, send cabinet members out on the media trail to sound ridiculous, double down and attempt to style it out.

There won’t be any mechanism to force it so in reality there wouldn’t be a GE even if they had five more leaders.

I think the first question of Tory MP candidate selection is “do you have a sense of shame?” And any who do are immediately disqualified.

I'd be too embarrassed.

1. By my own behaviour
2. That I thought the bullshit excuses I'd given would be taken seriously.

But I guess that's what happens when you think you're better than everyone else. And as much as it's almost a prerequisite for Tories it seems to be pretty standard across people that want to be involved in politics, and especially so for those that have aspirations for leadership.

Just rotate the fuckers, enough time for every Tory MP to be PM for two days before the next GE has to be called. Stupid pensions for all!

Even so, each new one would just almost certainly just mean a bigger and bigger majority for Labour at the next election and make it even harder for people to forget the chaos to put them back in power in the future.

Though I wouldn't bet on it. Sometimes it feels that they could put this country at the bottom of every metric and if the opposition hadn't fixed it all in a single term the Tories would be brought back.
