Mr Johnson isn’t a bunch of people and if there is evidence then a crime has been committed and the police should investigate - do you agree with that?
She said he is racist etc, she did not say the Tories are. That's why I'm saying it's different. Keep up.
No she said they are a bunch of - she referred to the whole party as such. She then wouldn’t apologise unless genuine apologised himself for his personal behaviours - but her words were “The Tories are a bunch of….”
Or do the media need to keep us as well?

Good to see we're ignoring events of today to discuss something that happened 2 years ago again
Too be fair it’s more relevant than the last Labour government lineGood to see we're ignoring events of today to discuss something that happened 2 years ago again
I refer you back to my post 2-3 months ago where Labour accused Sunak of not caring whether paedophiles were sent to jail. It's inevitable now that the two pathetic sides will play out this sort of nonsense. This is disgusting from Sunak really.
You might expect this shit from idiots like Gullis and 30p, but from the fucking PM? Sums up the state of things I guess.
So much for the integrity he bangs on about.

While the issue of state controlled broadcasters is a valid one, it's not like the private ones are all bastions of truth and enlightment. Fox is a joke.Correct Netflix carries a lot of debt but after a big drop in share price it’s been climbing for past 12 months. Not sure comparing the two is wise, Netflix has 250m paying subscribers worldwide and I think makes 12bn a year. C4 has a declining viewership and just about breaks even. View attachment 30864
I’ve got no big issue with C4 remaining under public ownership as it makes a little bit of money so isn’t a burden currently but I suppose the question is whether it’s really a governments role to own tv channels..unless you live in Russia I guess ? Also then whether it will remain profitable. The TV worlds changing rapidly and if we can get £1bn for it now, it might not be a bad shout
I'm not really understanding why Farage should be treated differently to others or why there's an outrage that his account may have been closed for moral reasons when banks do this to other people on a daily basis without any fuss in the media
There's no right to anything other than a basic bank account, and that's only a relatively recent requirement as there were so many people unable to find a bank that would let them maintain an account
Climate change upon us and probably our last chance to act (actually it'sprobably too late sorry); cost of living crisis hitting the majority of the population; number of homeless children rising; strikes in the NHS and on the railways impacting on our lives but what is the Government focused on? More culture wars rubbish. Do they really think anyone is interested in Farage's Coutts bank account and this is going to solve the real problems the world and the country faces. In other news, the entire Sunak administration now seems to be jumping on board the campaign to turn the Farage/Coutts fiasco into a modern-day Watergate. One cabinet minister says the whole board of NatWest should resign!
Tbf even the lefties were outraged at Labour's attack ads, so have the entitlement to be outraged here too.Well oddly enough I wouldn’t have even known about it until you’ve highlighted it
Not especially edifying but not really much different to the deputy labour leader calling Tories racist, misogynistic, homophobic scum - something I don’t think you were too outraged about at the time
Very Stainist behaviour from the government as wellIn other news. Nat West boss cancelled for being a free market capitalist after anti cancel culture/pro free market warrior complains about being the “victim” of a free market economy.
Not to me. Whats it doing for you?

I still have no clue why Farage is the only person in the country who has the right to a bank account other than a basic bank account from one of the governments nine designated providersWell this has all turned out to be rather embarrassing - grovelling apologies and a delay of some inevitable head rolling at NatWest

Sad state of affairs when the country is falling apart and there's horrific news on a daily basis but the thing that gets the government to spring into action is a millionaire not being able to use one particular bank

I don’t think this is a freedom of speech issue at all. She got her facts wrong and caused embarrassment/reputational damage to her company - it was a high profile-enough screw up to justify giving her the sack if the board felt it was a problem. The irony here is that a self proclaimed free speech fundamentalist who thinks freedom of speech should mean freedom of conscience celebrating someone resigning exactly because their freedom to speak to the BBC came with consequences.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s right she resigned given the facts and I believe freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consciences, but you’d think that the free speech warriors would be calling for her to be reinstated.
what do we want?
Freedom of speech to mean freedom of consciences!
When do we want it?
When it doesn’t negatively impact me personally?

As it is, she had the board’s backing until No 10 AND No 11 decided to demand her head on a plate. And apparently one cabinet minister thinks that still isn’t enough blood sacrifices for this most heinous of crimes.
As I said, she had to go. But you can guarantee that if this had have happened to a left wing commentator instead of a right wing commentator working on the government’s favourite friendly “News” channel A) the government wouldn’t have gotten involved and B) if it had have caused a banking boss resignation the same right wing free thinkers would have been crying cancel culture, freedom of speech etc etc.I don’t think this is a freedom of speech issue at all. It's not the most important issue facing the country is it?Its not freedom of speech is it?

Yet again when the two-child benefit cap comes up he spouts some bollocks about uncosted spending commitments. Well how about doing a few sums you fucking twat because it’s clear that your policy stance on this is dog shit.Listening to Starmer on Five Live now I do wonder if he and Sunak have the same Media Consultant
They both parrot cliche phrases often not even related to the question posed
So you think Farage's bank account should be the top news story? What a strange thing to say
