I know a few on Twitter who have stopped going to the city and now have wasps season tickets. I'd had to unfollow a few because they kept going on about how bad sisu were for moving us, but are now fully fledged wasps fans. NOPM for sisu, but have wasps STs.
There will be those that go to both and there will be those that go to wasps who don't like football.
This is about the future Don, not now, 5,10,15 years time.
Starting this thread is such a knobhead thing to do, how old are you? 5? This is classic attention seeking behaviour.

Since both are under supported and can't play home games at the same time, I wonder if they've considered a dual venture to have a combined season ticket and share the revenue. Even better for wasps as they would get the f&b revenue too. Not for me though it's bees not wasps that is my alternative sport.
I know 3 CCFC season ticket holders that also have season tickets at Wasps too.
I guess it's possible to watch both huh? Crazy times!
"Knobhead thing to do"
yes clearly I am the 5 year old
I can't see Wasps stealing Cov Fans.
From my own experience it just is happening. You have seen it happening. So what's wrong with asking if anyone else is experiencing it?
Nothing wrong with asking, but as we were debating this on a other thread, it didn't really warrant another thread.
Even OSB has said going forward this is a concern, as in the future 5-10-15 years time. I don't get what point you're trying to prove.

I don't think most people read the Wasps threads. So was hoping to get the opinion of as many people as possible. This is more CCFC related as it it aimed at CCFC fans to see if they are experiencing fellow fans choosing Wasps instead. My hope is it isn't as big a concern as some would think. Otherwise the future is very bleak. I think whether Wasps blossom or not is irrelevant to the CCFC fan base and vice verser. The only key factor that will impact on the CCFC fan base is performances on the pitch
Ah those lovely Wasps, they are no harm to anyone.
There is nothing more pitiful than those who haven't even noticed they are being fucked.

Know anyone who has decided to stop going to CCFC matches because they want to go to Wasps matches instead?
About the 5-10-15 years thing. Wasps are very proactive with chasing support of the young. Since they arrived at the Ricoh they have been to my daughters school twice. CCFC haven't been once in the whole five years since my eldest started school. If we're in competition with them for young supporters in the Coventry and Warwickshire area we'd better start being more proactive.
Dongo wants us to slowly merge into wasps the football team. Hates sisu but wants to jump into bed with another hedge fund who moved their club further than sisu. What a guy you are!
No.
But I do know about 10 who do both City and Wasps.
Some do all home games for both and some just go to odd Wasps games but all City home games.
I suppose there must be some of my old mates who have given up on City years ago who might go to wasps, I know some go to the Ice hockey.
TBF this has nothing to do with the Club coming in, more to do with having had enough of the same old shit at the City.
If City cared more about their supporters gave us a decent team to get us promoted, then they wouldn't have to worry about other teams in the City.
PUSB
I'd say we do have a decent team for League 1 in terms of players, they just aren't playing as a team
At least the Telegraph are back on the Wasps train again today!
A team we do not own.
I will never stop going whole we play in Cov, but many more will be lost forever the longer we stay in this shit league.
That in turn gives them time to do other things like supporting other sports teams ether locally or futher afield. Lost forever and posibly taking their children the same way.
It is even more pitiful some people haven't even noticed we were being fucked before Wasps even arrived.
I don't think it's a case of people dropping there ccfc season tickets to go out and buy wasps tickets, I'm thinking more about the 5-10k missing fans from the championship days whose loyalty isn't as strong as others. With another successful club to support its going to be much harder to win these fans back without being in the premier league,
Just my opinion but if we were lying 12-17th in the championship I don't think we would see any significant increase in attendances, probably average around 10-13k plus the occasional local derby,
Thing is with all this 'charm offensive' stuff, rugby and football are two completely different sports and I dare say that those who really love rugby aren't so interested in football (for most people I know it is either one or the other) and those who love football aren't so interested in rugby. For me its city or nothing, I don't follow Rugby so don't have the faintest interest in going to a Wasps or England game for that matter. I now people who used to follow city who now have ST's at Wasps (seems good value to be fair).
They are still on a charm offensive on the city to try and get loyal and long term fans whereas our owners are not competing with them on that front however football will always be a more attractive option in my opinion.
Our club hasn't helped itself given our position and history over the last 10 years, if we were positioned as a club 'going places' then I think our attendance would increase. If I had my choice I would say each ST could bring an under 10 sibling free of charge, this would attract more people and ensure its affordable for all. This wouldn't hurt the bank balance too but could secure future fans in the next 10-15 years.

Not a definitive science of course and there is crossover, but I don't think there would be many at all who would switch sports just like that.
I agree getting a kicking week in week out in the championship will not bring back crowds. A genuine crack at the championship play offs would beat any attraction to Wasps hands down.
You watch him come crawling back if we get in the play-offs though.I know a right miserable bastard who stopped going up and started 'supporting' wasps. He only goes to the odd wasps game (usually when he gets free tickets) and moans like fuck about the football team now. He was full on with his blind support of the council over their shafting of the club as well. Personally I think we're better off without him.
