The Fa cup once the heart of the English fan -attendances have been deteriorating over the years who decides these stupid changes - We have to play on a Sunday because it seems the mighty Bristol City take preference over Rovers why? - Why cannot Bristol city play on a Sunday and we play Saturday, after all currently, we have to travel away to our home games now travel on a Sunday afternoon and all that is said on our site is fixture change - no thought for the fan no apologies nothing - £58 return on the train
Erm because Bristol City are in the league above Bristol Rovers. We have to play on a Sunday because it seems the mighty Bristol City take preference over Rovers why?
Who has no thought or apologies for the fans? Who exactly are you blaming? The Fa cup once the heart of the English fan -attendances have been deteriorating over the years who decides these stupid changes - We have to play on a Sunday because it seems the mighty Bristol City take preference over Rovers why? - Why cannot Bristol city play on a Sunday and we play Saturday, after all currently, we have to travel away to our home games now travel on a Sunday afternoon and all that is said on our site is fixture change - no thought for the fan no apologies nothing - £58 return on the train
Why should that matterErm because Bristol City are in the league above Bristol Rovers.
It's not rocket science.

Possibly pointless to some fans but Saturday is basically football day in our house and with mates - We were looking forward to an away day/weekend at either Plymouth or Bristol Rovers - now all off 12 of us fans will not be going - so not that pointlessNot too sure what to make of this post tbh. Pointless
Blaming whoever agrees the changes - probably never find out - Fixture list says all year we will be playing on the 4th of January (if we got through) and I would be saying the same about playing Man city on a SundayWho has no thought or apologies for the fans? Who exactly are you blaming?
Would you be saying the same thing if Man U were at home on Sat and we had to play on the Sunday v Man City??

Was about to post this. Their game was confirmed so will have been arranged with the police 2 weeks ago if Bristol R lost then no game for them, why would the date be kept open for them against higher leagued and confirmed Bristol Citys game? Nothing to do with Bristol police that we play all our games "away". Get a grip on reality.Probably because Citys game has been confirmed for two weeks so their fans and Shrewsbury have probably already planned?

FA Cup
Old style
Twin towers
3 pm Sat afternoon
Abide with me
Marching bands
The steps the players staggered up to hold the cup
The PM and Queen or rep there
Grandstand following the teams from their hotels
Decent ex footballers giving views on national tv on both channels
People excited and walking down Wembley way with silver foil FA cups in the air
Flags with funny slogans too!
2019
5 pm kick off when Sky say so
Top teams only use the FA cup if no chance of a top 4 finish
No build up just retired millionaires talking shyte
No real Royalty just token people
Empty red seats with annoying Led advertisement boards
And no fooker noticed it’s on anymore.
Am I missing something? It's out of the club's hands
Don't think it was aimed at the club though it's not not a very sensible argument for reasons others have pointed out
So what's having to play at St Andrews got to do with it?
Think the point is that because we have to travel to our home games we should have been given the best kick off time for this fixture.
Doesn't really make sense for numerous reasons.
What's the difference in Villa playing at home the same day as Cov playing at St Andrews which has happened this season and no doubt will happen again - let's face it Bristol city will probably get an attendance of 7 or 8 thousand Bristol rovers 3 or 4 thousandWas about to post this. nothing gto stop the teams playingbthe same dayProbably because Citys game has been confirmed for two weeks so their fans and Shrewsbury have probably already planned?
Cannot see hat this has to do with the clubsMaybe you can ask on the Bristol forums about the agreements they have?
Us playing at St Andrews isn't relevant.
Really not sure what i can post to this that i have not already said, Bristol City's game will have been confirmed approx 2 weeks ago, out was only confirmed yesterday so no bias in place, plus going back to your original point, Bristol police have nothing to do with us playing in Brum and not Cov.What's the difference in Villa playing at home the same day as Cov playing at St Andrews which has happened this season and no doubt will happen again - let's face it Bristol city will probably get an attendance of 7 or 8 thousand Bristol rovers 3 or 4 thousand
not today to early in the weekAre you on crack?
If it's only "too early in the week" i'd start looking for longer week days and lay off the weekend days, you need help understanding the basics of life mate (look over all my posts in about 9 years, this is the first time i've said this about someone (i hate bullying etc so am careful with what i say and post, but you seem oblivious to reality or are on the wind up)).not today to early in the week
Good post but it moved to 5.15ko on terrestial tv not skyFA Cup

Not the introduction. Fa cup was going strong till around 98 imoSadly the FA cup had lost its appeal since the introduction of the Premier League,
But why not play the games the same day and stop messing fans around - my point was if a police iReally not sure what i can post to this that i have not already said, Bristol City's game will have been confirmed approx 2 weeks ago, out was only confirmed yesterday so no bias in place, plus going back to your original point, Bristol police have nothing to do with us playing in Brum and not Cov.
That's some statement on the bases of a fact that I have an opinion our game should be played on the date advertised so All of our fans can get behind our team - can understand in some circumstances why a game could not go ahead particularly police reasons - however in this circumstances possibly 15,000 fans will attend for both games - why is that an issue? The point previous I was trying to make 80,000 fans attended in September for Villa - Cov -Wolves on the same day -If it's only "too early in the week" i'd start looking for longer week days and lay off the weekend days, you need help understanding the basics of life mate (look over all my posts in about 9 years, this is the first time i've said this about someone (i hate bullying etc so am careful with what i say and post, but you seem oblivious to reality or are on the wind up)).

I would argue around 10 years earlierNot the introduction. Fa cup was going strong till around 98 imo
The 4th of January is advertised everywhere as the FA cup 3rd round and like I mentioned before in brackets (if we get through) -Don't make me out to be a thick f-ck as I can assure you I am far from it - I have an opnion under the cicumstances of a failing competition particulary for attendances, these two games could easily have been palyed the same day - instead of messing fans and there plans aroundThe date wasn't advertised because we didn't know if we were going to progress that far in the cup or who we were playing.
You can surely grasp that?
