Tuesday.

We need results to go our way.

If these two were both to somehow win we'd be in even more deep shit than we are now. If that's possible.

Then ......

Saturday we have;

Donny v Derby

Derby on poor run so a big worry for us that Doncaster could well get something from this game.

Millwall v Southampton

Pompey v Bristol City

Pompey win would be ideal in truth. Even though we would rather Portsmouth didn't start picking up points we most certainly do not want Bristol City doing so from this game.

Pompey are 8 points behind Bristol in 4th from bottom slot and they simply cannot afford to lose this one. Lose this and they would be 11 points behind.

Watford v City.

We have to pick up something here, we simply have to. You have to think Bristol could well pick up something at Pompey.

The following Tuesday Bristol have Watford at home, so that is a game they must fancy their chances in. By the time we play Cardiff away the following day we could be even further adrift.

I find this whole thing like slow painful water torture as games evaporate and we remain ensconced in the bottom 3.

I prefer to see this way. We need a win and a draw before we even consider other results

Well we can't have a win and a draw until after these games on Tuesday can we. Which was kind of my point. If these results go against us it could be taken out of our hands.

Doncaster would be 3 points clear with a game in hand and Forest would be 8 points clear.

Not criticizing by any means I do the same looking at other results and hoping just saying that even if every result went our way before and during our next 2 away games we have to find 4 points ourselves. As much as it pains me, really can t see it

Forest I think, in all honestly, have now ... ironically due to our inept performance against them (since pre us they couldn't buy a point from any game) are now going great guns and I see them as very close to safe. Doncaster is still well and truly in the mix though, whilst I agree that if they get 3 points from one of their 2 games in hand, I don't see them having the ability to wake up and perform in the way that Forest have.

That all said, we are in extreme doo doo at the moment, Watford away needs to be our first away win, simples.

i think we have had our chance now...we needed to get a minimal 4pts from palace and brum..we got 2..and now 4pts adrift with 2 away games coming up..with our away record...Hmmm...we simply have to win away..and win all of our homes games to stand any chance now...do you really see us winning our reamaining home games"its possible" but i just dont see it..sorry.....

I think we have had our chances too.

If we think back, Forest was a must win game. Certainly a not lose game anyway. And all the talk before Leshtur, Palace and Brum was about how many points/wins were needed from those 3 fixtures. Let's face it, no-one said that if we got just 2 points out of the 3 games that, that would be adequate or that we would still be in with a chance.

If we had all known before those 3 games that we would only get 2 points I think pretty much everyone on here would have said 'right, that'll just about it then for us.'

Not down yet !!! Others have games in hand but also have tough tests against good sides ahead!! The main reason we are we're we are is because of our away form you look back at away games and if we had of picked up results in say 6 of them we would be in a better position, loosing 10 in a row away is what may do us in the end!

the away form is a killer but if you are then relying on points from home to make you safe then the last 2 games have done it for me.

i think after the next 2, 99% of us will have accepted our fate

Didn't Doncaster have a tough task ahead against a very good side on Saturday? :thinking about:

We keep losing games though where we should have got something.

As everyone keeps on saying, it's our away form that is going to send us down.

It seems that we are in the last chance saloon, even if other results go our way we still need to start picking up points.

It is still in our hands, but time is running out.

5 points minimum is needed away from home as well as 4 home wins! Tall order but the teams we play at home should be winnable, away we need to pick results at Brizzle Watford and Burnley!!!

Tall order but the rewards out way anything that we have done in recent times!

We have to get something against Watford.

Even a draw probably won't be good enough. Could have done with Watford having nothing to play for, but as they said on the Football League show, they have an outside chance of the play-offs.

Maybe them going for the win gives us a bit of a chance though.

Not finished yet although things are starting to get deperate, we just need to hang onto Bristol and Donny, be within 3 points of each until April and then we have to beat both of them in April.

IF we lose both away games coming up I accept it will be very difficult to stay up, but it will not be over.
I will be in the 1% who will not accept relegation until it is certain. With 3 points for a win it will not be over until there are 5 or fewer games left.
I hope the players are not as defeatist as the fans.

With each passing game our opportunities get more distant and the pressure to beat Donny at home etc gets worse. It's the pressure we put ourselves into that will be our undoing. Win even just one away from home and that will relieve some pressure. When under such pressure as we are then we will with each game get more tentative and that's when it's all over.

I can't see us winning at Watford or Cardiff. We may get a point. I sense that after that and other battling results (like Donny just got at West ham) we will not survive. When you consider our second half performance yesterday you would like to think we can do that in each game but we have seen that false flag before all too often this season.

Forever the optimist though....maybe we will win at Watford and draw at Cardiff and we will have the bit between our teeth then? Ask yourself though: can you see that happening ? It needs to.

There is another point. We are probably the team in poorest form, other than doomed Pompey, even Bristol City get the odd win. We always concede and rarely score more than 1 a match. Jury is still out on who our best strike force are and the midfield could be any three from six. Add to that the inept manager i fear it's curtains.

if bristol/donny lose tuesday/sat then i will take a draw at watford

but considering we will probably lose to cardfiff the week after we really might need all 3 on sat
