That's funny, I always try and keep the football threads on track but get abused usually for it by people who dont like SISU?
Do you really think I have the time to moderate and try to keep every anti sisu thread on topic???
It is amazing how many people now want to talk football when it isn't about SISU though?
Then there are those who think they are sharper than those who think they are sharper than everyone else but aren't sharper than that. But they just think they are sharper than those who think they are sharper than everyone else but aren't sharper than that - really they're not that sharp at all.
Was it? More like it was about our football club and how bad things are looking.
Ah I get it now. Certain people on here saw it as SISU bashing so they turned it into CCC bashing. Someone will have to make a list of what we are not allowed to say unless we want threads to turn into CCC bashing. Fuck me bored of the whole thing. Would love to be able to talk football however bad things are. I never joined this site to talk about legal matters, hedgefunds or even the local council.

That's an extremely blunt assessment there duffer
Yes, but I would promote him to football director. He's clearly overburdened with work, so relieving him from the responsibilities of the first team would seem fair. Then bring in a new 1st team manager without having to pay compensation to Pressley.
Sorry. I'm not sharp enough to follow all that. I have no idea what you're going on about.
OSB I entirely agree with the shambles that CCFC is at present but we can't ignore the revelations coming out of various sources regarding the events over the Ricoh Arena surely? It's our home or should be and information needs to be heard in order to get a good fix of perhaps why (among other reasons) our club is in the dire straights it is in at present, which as you say include the playing side.
I would love to focus on the playing side but I sense the appetite for that is lost on many and who could blame them. For what it's worth I think we are in a terrible position but by no means un-repairable. Those games you mention seem daunting enough but football is a funny old game as they say and conventional wisdom suggest we will get results where at present we think unlikely.
There is little news coming out about the playing side other than rumour and speculation. Having said that no new news of incoming players or the managers future maybe suggest a change is afoot perhaps?
Ohoh looks like the gremlins are here

Maybe It's a portent that It's pertinent and needs answering ;-)
Are you taking the piss? the amount of times you (and that div Torch) brought up Wasps on threads was fucking laughable, I even pulled you on a few.
If I was being (relatively) polite I'd say ditto. If I was being rude I'd say QED.
It's time for dinner, so I'll go with the former rather than kicking off another pointless row. Chips for tea. Result.
Is that right?
Please tell me you do actually use that saying. My wife and daughter just saw it and pissed themselves laughing you tool.
Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you. The above post attacking Nick is complete and utter shit, and drivel. There is nothing in his post fighting the SISU cause.
You come on the site wumming about Wasps to get a reaction, or alternatively crying that you have had enough and its your last post on the site yet again. You are acting like a fucking clown.
Get a grip and grow up, or if not fekk off and take SISU with you if you would be so kind.
Fuck me has this site been merged with GMK?
Christ, with that sort of thinking, it's almost as if he works for another underhand, devious company that we're all so familiar with...
I can not help thinking that in recent weeks the fans focus has been directed away from the shambles that is CCFC to other entities and other matters. It is of course not a new tactic but we are sharper than that aren't we?
Yes the stuff about ACL and CCC sells papers and furthers agendas but is it what should matter to CCFC fans? Yes there are questions for CCC to answer, perhaps not the leaps of logic and rewriting of history some put forward but yes there are questions. However it is all about the past isn't it. Surely what matters most is the now and the future ? the problems are mounting and our club/owners are not being challenged on them......

I always found it a little that Nick started his new job at the same time Portland took on CCFC's account;-)Weber Shandwick?
I just thought you were battering me, Paxman style, and I'd have to either answer the question or resign.
I think most people can manage to discuss more than one subject without their heads exploding! In some ways the off the pitch stuff is more important, if that isn't sorted then the on the pitch side of things is unlikely to get better any time soon.
Seems to me a lot of people have been happy being diverted when we've been laughing as how stupid Fisher or Labovich are or criticising Sepalla. Now it's turning out some of the things SISU said might have been true and the fingers pointing at CCC it's suddenly no need to talk about this its in the past.
I for one want to know if CCC, Higgs, ACL, Wasps, SISU or anyone else involved have been up to things they shouldn't have and with CCC we are talking about a public body accountable to us, probably the only organisation in this mess that is accountable to us and should have to explain their actions. It amazes me that now it's being revealed at least some of the blame lies with them everyone is suddenly keen to move on and not talk about the past.
As for the playing side I don't know if the lack of posts on matchday threads (it's the same on twitter) is down to people losing interest. I think a lot of threads don't really take off as broadly most people agree on the playing side. We all know the owners are useless and aren't going to put any money into the squad, we all know SP is struggling and may not be able to recover from this position, we all know the squad is weaker and we are desperate for players to come in. If anyone starts a thread saying we're playing rubbish boring football you see a few relies and thats it as everyone knows it's correct! Hard to discuss players we might bring in when we're not even being associated with this one, before you even consider the problem of nobody knowing the players we get linked with as we're playing at a level where most teams are filled with unknowns.
Really? See what would happen if you get a league winning team together........
If we went up to the championship it would be great but there's already been information about comparative revenues posted on this board that show it would be impossible for us to be competitive in the Championship so as great as getting promoted would be without the off the field stuff being sorted we're more than likely to end up going down again.
Same here. Sirloin steak reduced to only £13.33 kg at Tescos. Wife doing me two with my chips. I upset her when I said I would be happy with just chips with lots of salt n vinegar n brown sauce
Do we know exactly what revenues we can get access to with some actual negotiations from Sisu/Otium. Besides, what would you prefer, a yo-yo team that has success every other season or the constant shit that we keep getting served up and will continue to get for the very long foreseeable future? I know which one I would choose at the moment.
I am asking you this tonight, as you are venting your rage about the club, a rage that we all go through at different points on differing days, but I have thought about this long and hard myself, but what can we do to rid the club of SISU?
I think it was Paxman who asked me this a couple of weeks ago and I tried to answer what I thought so if you fancy trawling through and finding it will be there because I had a go. I did say at the end it might not be feasible but at least I had a go. He then had a pop at me for not agreeing with people who I disagreed with. One thing I do think though is that we as fans missed a trick when we were at Sixfields because the opportunity was there for large scale protests. Some people on here say that fan protests won't do shit but history has showed us what togetherness of people against very large corporations and governments can do if the will is there so a ragtag outfit like Sisu shouldn't be that hard, maybe there still might be some legs in that but who knows. I don't think people on here can agree on the colour of shite though so cannot see anything happening sadly.
council paying you overtime?[/QUOT
You are really embarrassing with your lack of facts / knowledge and cannot see that SISU are the biggest downfall of CCFC since they took over.
Thanks for replying. I will try and find the post.
I asked as frankly I havent a clue, and obviously saw the anger in your posts tonight and wondered what you thought. I wouldnt argue with you over it if we disagreed whatever you suggested as we all have our own opinions, and surely one of us, you, me, a.n. other will eventually find something that works to wrestle control off these tossers and get them out of our club.
That's the annoying thing that someone out there must have the answer to our plight and would actually give a shit rather than greedy fucking leeches that saw a cash cow that turned out to be a scabby dog. There also seems to be clever people on here who care and I would love to see them get together and challenge everyone involved in a proper way but they'd probably end up rowing with each other. I just think that we could still have some part to play in this.
Truthfully gent, I don't think that there's anything that we could do to SISU that would hurt them, other than a complete boycott. But there's no appetite for that, especially amongst the hard-core that remain who quite reasonably just want to watch football. In truth we've got, in effect, a de facto boycott of maybe as many as 20,000 fans now anyway. The vast majority of the long-time season ticket holders that I used to go to HR with have now stopped going to the Ricoh completely.
Think you're right, if SISU are attempting to run us at break even the only thing boycott will do is cause the player budget to drop. We've seen little evidence that they have any interest in the football side so it wouldn't bother them, just be painful for us. The question now is what is their exit strategy, are they just exhausting all legal possibilities and will then leave or will they just hold on at break even for years in the hope something out of the ordinary happens that will get them a return.
SISU seem to have achieved their primary ambition, which was to make us 'cash-flow positive'. I like that concept as a fan, I want us to be sustainable, but the problem is that we're knackered now - without some kind of investment coming in from outside the football side, we seem doomed to stay where we are at best.
It's bleak isn't it. I don't think I can take much more L1 footy - there's no way I can bear L2!

In a strange way the list of problems is almost a reason for concentrating on council bashing, it's more fun than worrying about our poor position
