We’re not new to that - wasn’t Richardson the highest paid chairman in the prem at one point? In all seriousness, it is a six figure salary that could be saved, and put towards the wage budget.

Doug needs to tell his brother that carrying on like this on Twitter makes us look tinpot.

I’ll be specific if you don’t agree with the Boddy wage whatever it is or might be don’t spend your hard earned at the turnstile. What?

Personally I'd rather have King of Shaves tweeting about us than some betting company hardly anyone has ever heard of. Don't really see the harm. When Subaru sponsored us they ran ads saying their cars weren't shit like the football team, that was a definite low point.Doug needs to tell his brother that carrying on like this on Twitter makes us look tinpot.

Isn’t this a joke? Like the office (us) version???Dave Boddy is now Assistant to the Regional Chairman

My memory isn’t what it once was but I think when we signed the deal with Subaru it was with the importer who then passed the cost onto the dealer network. They then all moaned about it saying they wasn’t given a choice in paying it and any publicity in the press wouldn’t be on the back pages etc. First game of the season and first time wearing the shirt was against Chelsea and not only did we win but Dion scored the first hat trick of the season so we were all over the back pages on Sunday and Mondays papers. That’s my memory anyway. Could be wrongPersonally I'd rather have King of Shaves tweeting about us than some betting company hardly anyone has ever heard of. Don't really see the harm. If Doug himself was making shaving puns and talking about how it was a great 'king day for the club it'd be a bit small time but I don't mind it from his excitable brother who's loving the little bit of extra exposure his brand is getting in a small part of the West Midlands.
I'd be ok with King of Shaves as shirt sponsor, although my heart is set on Rich Energy.

You can do the same
If you don't think your memory is what it once was, how do you know you can remember what it once was? Maybe your memory is what it used to be but you just don't rememberMy memory isn’t what it once was....

So basically you said you'd pay a premium price with the expectation of good performance and if not you'd want money back. Its a joke - honestly you have no idea - some guy approached me with some offer and it was a grand a month to have SEO for my company - it amounted to two hours work a month. He said it would double my sales. I said to him I would pay him two grand a month and if it did not double my sales I would want my money back. He said I was a twat it does not work like that. He has doubled his rate in a year and his order book is full.
Its all rubbish by the way
How would you feel about PRP - performance related pricing? Charge high but offer discounts for future years if those targets aren't met.
Is that you Mr King (or indeed Mr Ashley)?I’ve recently decided to genuinely follow the Sky Blues, supporting a club with potential in the championship was the aim. I had a few good options even a couple in League One but here I am.
My reasons.
Obviously… It’s a new chapter. Yes, there’s definitely a Sky Blue bandwagon now. A new owner who’s ambitious is in charge, a lot of upside here. So if we had fandom tiers I’ve entered right on level one, I’ve never suffered with tenured Cov fans and I’ll most likely experience a club that will fight for promotion year on year, or a club that gets promoted and finally fulfills its potential. Time will tell. This could all go down the crapper and Doug King fails BUT…
I finally made my bed, I need to lie in it.
Nothing clicked. Admittedly, I’ve tried following a number clubs in the past, made an extra effort with a few of them but it just didn’t click for me. These things aren’t forced they need to naturally happen.
A club without a home. This attracted me the most I think with Coventry City. I was able to somewhat empathize with this, being a “football fan” with no club to call my own. Different obviously but the longing to belong and settle attracted me. There’s a good book about it too.
One club city. I always liked the idea of a city with one football club. I believe they produce more passionate fans. When a city only has one club, the fans tend to be more dedicated and passionate in my opinion. Might not always be the case but for Cov it definitely is.
Heart decision. In the end it boils down to a “gut” feeling right. You can spew out all the facts on why you should support the uniteds of the world but when you lay your head on that pillow, it’s what you feel that matters most. For some reason supporting Coventry just feels right for me personally. 14th in the championship, bright future, hopefully. PUSB
