Good job we have Lampard who’s got us top as well!We would be top of Robins was here.
We would be top of Robins was here.
Exactly this.Ashley has much larger financial resources than DK and he did not get that by being charitable or liked
Given that, and if Frasers don't renew the licence, what options does CCFC have?Nope - the EFL have said they will not allow CCFC to play outside the City
Next?
At the moment none.Given that, and if Frasers don't renew the licence, what options does CCFC have?
It's also not christmas yet so no need to panic.
Not a great position for the club to be in, then.At the moment none.
They probably will renew but who knows at what cost?
Given that without a club playing at the CBS, the last two owners have gone out of business, I do have some faith Frasers understands the importance of us playing.Given that, and if Frasers don't renew the licence, what options does CCFC have?
It’s not like Frasers have other options either, there isn’t any other potential tenants that have anywhere near our draw.At the moment none.
They probably will renew but who knows at what cost?
Agree, but prior to that might they refuse to renew the licence to distress the club, thus lowering the price?Given that without a club playing at the CBS, the last two owners have gone out of business, I do have some faith Frasers understands the importance of us playing.
Think it’s more likely frasers buy us at the end of the five years
Getting a strong sense of deja vu with posts about Frasers not having any other options
Agree, but prior to that might they refuse to renew the licence to distress the club, thus lowering the price?
Frasers can afford to miss the CCFC rental income for a periodGiven that without a club playing at the CBS, the last two owners have gone out of business, I do have some faith Frasers understands the importance of us playing.
Think it’s more likely frasers buy us at the end of the five years
It's far more important to CCFC than it is to them, it is material to CCFC's future whereas for them it isn't reallyIt’s not like Frasers have other options either, there isn’t any other potential tenants that have anywhere near our draw.
Just for understanding, why would the EFL rather expel a member than allow another ground sharing commitment?Frasers can afford to miss the CCFC rental income for a period
What's the effect on CCFC when they inform the EFL they cannot complete their fixtures?
There's too many unknowns to be sure what will happen. Everything King has said and done is based around a 5 year plan. So let's say we get to the end of the 5 years and we're still in the Championship, the transfer money has run out and Frasers want to put up the rent.Just for understanding, why would the EFL rather expel a member than allow another ground sharing commitment?
Think the likelihood is the EFL would rather keep a club in the league than expel them and would allow us to move ground again with a caveat of building a ground (again).
Struggling to find the EFL notice in 22 about having to ground share in Coventry. Best I could find was the EFL agreeing to Burton and wanting ongoing discussions and then the pitch decision. There is no problem with the EFL in ground sharing BUT in Coventry. They blocked any playing outside of the City when Frasers cancelled the SISU licence
The big development Frasers are planning is in Warwickshire who are keen to have it
Why would we lose 9000 fans ? It's not the same club it wasIf after the 5 year deal runs out and we are still in the Championship then gates would drop to maybe 18k. Upping the rent on a diminishing business would not make sense.
A diminishing business is the last thing King wants to own!If after the 5 year deal runs out and we are still in the Championship then gates would drop to maybe 18k. Upping the rent on a diminishing business would not make sense.
We were a diminishing business when he brought the clubA diminishing business is the last thing King wants to own!
We want our sisu back, we want our sisu back.
Ludicrous comment.
You've made a few recently, it's quite bizarre.
You need quite a simplistic world view to think that criticism of King means people want sisu back.
By that logic, whrn you were calling for Robins to go it meant you wanted Slade back, which would be nonsense.
But if he controlled the stadium........We were a diminishing business when he brought the club
The football was improving but we were still ran like a League Two side off the pitch
It was sarcasm.
It is ludicrous that people are still trying their hardest to cry about Robins going.
People were even annoyed that King got rid of Boddy because he and Robins were close. The same Boddy people had slagged off for ruining clubs for years.
There were people singing King's name, literally not so long ago.
If you want ludicrous, have a look at who was saying Rhys Carr was "gormless" because he wasn't Mark Robins.
Who said Rhys Carr was gormless because he wasn't Robins?
You can't be referring to me because I said he came across as gormless in his first interview.
Or are you making things up?
As for Boddy, I said King was right to get rid of him. I said it long before Robins went.
I'm not making anything up, it was clearly said out of spite after Robins had gone.
It clearly wasn't.
It wasbased on one interview.
I also said I appreciated he'd been thrown in at the deep end but it doesn't suit your weird agenda.
Give it time and read back and see where the weird agenda is.
If Doug doesn’t back Lampard in jan then we should all be Doug out, clear he hasn’t got a clue
