I don’t know the answer to either of those questions. And which of those injuries could be prevented through more medical work? I'm not sure many could.
Anyway, point is i doubt we were in the top half of the league for injuries
we never sold out under Sisu ,Doug has engaged more with fans in 18 months than sisu did in 18 years they were here .I fail to see what that has to do with appearing on the radio but Yes quite a few times.
It’s a factor in not only preventing injuries but keeping the players fresher or even getting them back sooner.Of course it is a positive but it isn't a substitute for squad depth - he apparently chose to answer a question about squad depth with a reference to the medical infrastructure.
So reaching a semi final of the fa cup and a play off final under King is not acceptable then? If you are going to be negative at least have a decent argument. So 1 attendance against Chelsea is better than consistently good league attendances under King.I don’t care about engagement with the fans sadly I care about performance on the pitch.
Is our record attendance at the stadium not under sisu?
We were a penalty shoot out from the premier league, under King. Its clear i am arguing with an idiot so ill let your carer take over from here.I don’t care about a semi final, we finished 10th and 32 points off promotion.
I also don’t care about attendances I care about winning matches. Our recent home form is abysmal
I’m not sure why a self-confessed novice to football like Doug would be making these kinds of directives to the recruitment team. Surely that’s not how he runs his other businesses?
GIMOC burner accountThought it was incredibly boring. Him backing down on the 8/10 games issue is tragic again.
Didn’t like his comments regarding squad depth nor his comments about the club haemorrhaging money.
Also seems like the kits won’t be on sale any time soon.
It’s all a bit amateur. Unsure why he’s constantly talking to the press, fix your actions your words are meaningless.
Sounds a bit delusional really, with the best will in the world medical staff do not prevent injury. We didn't even have a particularly bad season injuries wise and still struggled a bit, if he can't see that it's quite worrying.
either way tedious as fuckIt’s Boosh you loser

Try being a little bit positive i find it makes being a supporter much more enjoyable
Think he's booshWhat's incredibly boring is the seemingly desperate need for negativity when, in my opinion, there's no reason to be anything but positive and incredibly optimistic about next season and the general direction the club is headed.
Things will never be perfect and it is impossible to keep everyone 100% happy all of the time, but we have an owner with a clear desire to go up and its clear that we feel like a proper club rather than a basket case like we have been most of my lifetime.
Is he perfect? No. But neither are any of us.
Wannabe what?Don’t read it then. Loser lamo wannabe
Fucking hell.In regards to squad depth, he feels it’s a waste of wages as they don’t play much and would rather put money into the medical side to keep players fit. Then he rambled on about how he monitors the ‘hardness’ of the pitch at Ryton.
? I doI actually go the games mate, you should try it some time

Listen to the interview yourself rather than react to a third party representation of what was said.Fucking hell.
Has he actually said that he has said no?I’d imagine he sets the budget at his other businesses. Essentially robins is asking for a higher budget, with justification, and king is saying no, also with justification.
It wasn’t quite like that and his main point is you can have a bigger squad but only play 11 do doing all you can to make sure the best players can play the most important games is all part of itSounds a bit delusional really, with the best will in the world medical staff do not prevent injury. We didn't even have a particularly bad season injuries wise and still struggled a bit, if he can't see that it's quite worrying.
As I say to my managerial staff, no comment. What will be will be. We've increased our recruitment team meaningfully. I see their work, I see what we do, I see the areas we're now covering. I see the depth of the analysis we're going into. We fell slightly away, we had some injuries... a big cup run that was draining, for sure it was draining, the way it went. We know all those situations, we want to be competitive. The issue with real depth in anything is if you have too much depth, right, too many players, obviously that adds to your wage bill and they may not play. The issue is they may play if you have a lot of injuries, so we're trying to reduce any injuries and as you've seen we've got all the three pitches now at Ryton are all the same pitches, we know the hardness of them, we're monitoring everything very carefully, we've added the performance director Claire Marie Roberts in, to really make sure that we don't have or try and minimise the injuries and increase our strength and conditioning. For the players next year, look I want us to get promoted. I'm an ambitious man, I'll look at everything properly and if we can get our squad built on from the foundations and nucleus we have today in a great way then we will get on with it. And we're on it right now, believe you me. Way too many calls coming my way. We're chatting about it and we're on it and I want to tell the SBA and all our fans look, we've been here 15 months or so, we've had a couple of great experiences, we haven't quite got where we want to and we're going to try our hardest to get there.
Sums it up in the first line "no comment"DK on transfers:
Yes I find this concerning. I can accept we made a mistake in January but it is a real problem if we didn’t learn from it.Yep. Even if the injuries aren't there the drop in performance from tiredness will be. If the end of the season with games coming thick and fast due to the cup run didn't tell King we need a bigger squad then nothing will.
Robins said that in January and nothing was done about it. Our end to the season proved Robins right and it is concerning if we haven’t learned from that. Anyone can make a mistake but the problem is if you don't learn from it.Weren’t people complaining about the medical staff when we kept getting ACL injuries? Improving your infrastructure and medical provision can only be viewed as a positive.
Unless he said ‘we’re not signing any more players’, then you can worry. MR has said that he wants and needs more players and he’s going to get that.
My observation is that a lot of people just want something to complain about.
Moore has gone alreadyThere’s definitely still dead wood to trim, Moore, arguably Wilson, Kelly, Godden could all be replaced for the same wage with more impact.
Personally though I think we need another 2-3 on top of those going really. We were desperate short in a couple of places at times and even with a full squad lacked options from the bench up front in particularly.
2bh I’m on Doug’s side on the transfers - he’s right, you can have too much squad depth.
F*cking light shows? Why not start handing out those paper clappers while we're at it?
Moore has gone already
