You rate Doyle over Carsley

He's a good fighter but he adds nothing in attack, and that's compared to Carsley! Carsley's not the best going forward but that's not his job, he's there to allow the rest to pull forward (clinger, gunnar and co). Doyle's been a good servant to the club and he does have his positives, but he has no creativity what so ever and that is what we're lacking. Not saying we have that at the moment, but Doyle certainly doesn't have it and if aidy is letting him go then maybe (hopefully) we've got someone coming in.

From the games I have seen this season I have rated Doyle over Carsley.

Yes he might seem like a headless chicken but he closes people down quickly and forces mistakes!

Doyle is a miles better player than Carsley but thats just my opinion

Carsley and Doyle are about the same for me, i dont think that we should let him go unless we are going to bring someone else in.

I think Doyle has run his course here, could do with a change. He's been ok this year, but I think he will be redundant when Gary Deegan is fit again.

Good luck to Doyler if he goes, I know a lot of people don't rate him but you can't say he ever gives less then 100%. I love Doyle when we are losing and not playing well and he is the only player getting stuck in. Not the best on the ball but I think a lot of his off-the-ball antics go unnoticed a lot of the time. Will be sad to see him go but maybe time to move on as he isn't getting any younger. I think it's a shame that players like Doyle are dying out now - no nonsense and tough tackling, I prefer those to the nancy boys! He's been at the heart of our midfield for many seasons now with several central midfield partnerships along the way. I always seem to remember Stephen Hughes and Doyle in midfield for us for some reason..

Wasn't a fan of Doyle to be honest, only just about Championship quality imo although Sheffield Utd must have seen something in him (or maybe not as Micky Adams is getting re-united with him). Only thing he did for us all season was score that wonder goal on his return to the site the other month.

Midfield?? How about the whole team, soon we will be fielding our under 18's as our first team - being short of players was exactly what Aidy promised us fans they would be sorting this season - no point signing a handful only to let just as many go when we had a small squad in the first place.

Doyle is (just!) better than carsley. Both are rubbish! Gunnar and Clingan i say! imp:
