In the second half for sureFunny that some had him.down as bossing the .midfield. when my view was more like this. Too many passes went astray for him last night.
Uncharacteristically I think as well, hope it just still rustiness!Funny that some had him.down as bossing the .midfield. when my view was more like this. Too many passes went astray for him last night.
Possibly, but suspect he's carrying a knock, hope so anyway!Said it before and il say it again
Eccles alongside Sheaf - very good
Eccles without Sheaf - Not very good
Almost like they complement each other.Said it before and il say it again

Even Rudoni misplaced a few passes last night. Not sure what people are on about, for me Eccles had a very decent game last night against a team who’s MO is to target pressing the DMs rather than CBs, yes there was a few misplaced passes etc. but that is the same for all of the players + agree looked knackered towards the end but so did others as all put in a shift
Eccles is getting left behind! Every time he gets the ball he slows the game down and we lose momentum. Our recruitment has been brilliant, and I can't see him getting much game time once everyone is fit!
So Eccles had 50% more touches and made nearly twice the passes that Rudoni did. No wonder he looked knackered - and yet his pass completion rate was only 0.2% worse than Rudoni’s. And yet one is the messiah and the other is just a naughty boy. Is that because of the CV postcode on his birth certificate?Looking at the stats. Eccles had 91 touches, made 79 passes. Pass success rate of 83.5%.Made 3 key passes. 3 shots, 1 on target. Torp 65 touches, 51 passes, 88.2 % pass completion. 5 shots 0 on target 2 key passes.Rudoni 62 touches, 43 passes, completion 83.7%. 1 shot 0 on target , 4 key passes. Torp was subbed so has less touches and passes but also accuracy decreases as players get tired so generally the 3 in the middle were very similar yesterday.

And a very successful career.I suspect Ray Wilkins had a very high pass rate and % success
Unfortunately could be sold if no one else is, value, well if Sheaf s a twenty mill player you'd have to say Eccles is ten, realistically £ £4-5M.I suspect Ray Wilkins had a very high pass rate and % success
Nailed it I think, very similar!I suspect Ray Wilkins had a very high pass rate and % success
They do play slightly different roles. Eccles job is to drop back and receive the ball from the defence as we play out from the back. Rudoni has much more licence to move around the pitch, so won't always be available for the ball as we often play back and switch sides. So Eccles had 50% more touches and made nearly twice the passes that Rudoni did. In the second half for sure
First half I thought he was good and I rate him highly
Eccles is a fine midfielder. No problem with him at all. Getting left behind?! By who? Amazes me how perfection is expected in high paced games
He’s a great baseline and I’d never be disappointed to see him on the team sheet but I agree if we’re being ambitious there might be scope to improve the position.
Silly cult.I’ve found another disciple
Anyone who watches us play can see the player he is and has been consistently for us .I've said it before and will say it again, he's a top midfielder at this level:
