Yeah that's fine by meI like that idea, well I'd like any idea that saw up up so yea
There are certain similarities...David O'Day's had a beer...
I don't think that will happen. If the season is null and void the teams below have no chance of promotion. Given a chance of promotion they will accept, they want to go up the same as us. I think (with my Sky Blue Goggles on) PPG and play offs is fair. However my mate who is a Charlton fan is pissed off as they have a home game against a team who they can overtake. So I kinda get his point to. Glad I don't have to decide.Imagine if LG1 ended up being null and void because of those wankers.
Listening to posh chairman, tone of voice to me sounds as if we will go down the league two route fighting a losing battle nothing said on relegation though.
He didn't sound too perky did he?Listening to posh chairman, tone of voice to me sounds as if we will go down the league two route fighting a losing battle nothing said on relegation though.
nice!Shut it else I'll shag your mum till she bleeds
Seems to me we are stuck in limbo still.
League 2 wanting to end the season now
Championship wanting to finish the season and league one with no final conclusion and a 'time of reflection for more creative options'
GIVE US THE FUCKING TITLE ALREADY FUCKNUTS!
Lost the fewest games (3) of ANY English league side apart from Liverpool. That is quite a stat!Coventry have the highest PPG total in the entire football league, how's that to wet your appetite on a sunny Friday evening lol
Gobshite is the right word for him, he comes across as being more interested in self promotion rather than doing what’s best for their club.So Gobshite MacAnthony jumps in with both feet before the meeting and screws the whole issue over? Sunderland fans are really unhappy that he appears to be acting on their behalf, and some of the other "united 6" teams fan's are also not happy with him being their mouthpiece. Does he realise if we miss out because of him, Sisu will tie him up in court for feckin years (as we already know) and he will end up totally fucked.
That would be the only court case I would want SISU to win!!! EFL need to show some leadership and tell these teams they run the show and this is how we will end the season(PPG) probably.
I guess as the EFL favor unweighted PPG they would miss out, so any scenario where they are in the mix will do thank you very much. Play offs not good enough, so lets include us...oh and Sunderland please, Netflix will chip in for the tests.MacAnthony on talksport now. Seems pretty down in the dumps. He just touted an 8 team tournament, not including the top 2, straight knockout winner takes all.
I think that would be the fairest method, only 1 leg ties all at neutral venues. Which is only 1 extra game.MacAnthony on talksport now. Seems pretty down in the dumps. He just touted an 8 team tournament, not including the top 2, straight knockout winner takes all.

It does take the shine of it tho mate and will always be remembered as “that season” Shame we won’t get to see Liam Kelly lift it infront of the fansI see Joey Barton has chipped in, saying giving us the title instead of playing for it, it would be "meaningless"!! well it might be for you, Joeyboy, but for us?? absolutely PRICELESS and fuck who cares how we win it. No-mark club with the same for a manager
All I would say to darragh is, take your play off chance and run... As let's be honest your team are as consistent as curdled milk
Wait... They wouldn't make it as Wycombe have a game in hand lol
The EFL is not a dictatorship nor a bunch of amateurs. We have a genuine clash of interests here so not surprisingly feelings run deep. If I was a Posh fan I would be rooting for him.I can't really see how the EFL can justify allowing each division to potentially come up with a different solution to the issue. Surely the voting should be on an overall solution to all three divisions. How idiotic will they look if they have used a different formula in our league from L2 and it produces different outcomes. What a bunch of amateurs!
cc84, I've watched us since 1967/8 and this will be the only time I've seen us be Championes, so it will rank up there with '87 and the 2 Wembley games since. Who would say we're not the best team in the League? (ok,Sunderland) hahahhaIt does take the shine of it tho mate and will always be remembered as “that season” Shame we won’t get to see Liam Kelly lift it infront of the fans
Otherwise know as the Play Offs but with 8x teams?MacAnthony on talksport now. Seems pretty down in the dumps. He just touted an 8 team tournament, not including the top 2, straight knockout winner takes all.
I’d hope so. And there is a fair chance at least two will if they are kept guessing about how the league will finish. Please excuse the intrusion to your forum but would appreciate your comments. As a Rotherham United supporter of 54 years (and yes I know I could have been out of jail by now) I would appreciate your opinion.
Clearly every club is looking after itself but of the six teams Sunderland and Ipswich have nothing to gain at all. Fleetwood, Portsmouth, Oxford & Peterborough clearly have.
Whilst appreciating all the bluster given last night, the fact that league 2 have decided to finish puts more pressure on them.
It would be interesting to see if the party of 6 stay together on this, but with the carrot of a play off, I wonder what thoughts Fleetwood and Oxford have on this. The reason being, however ppg is decided be it weighted PPG or standard, they are in the play offs irrespective of which method is used. Potentially do they stick or twist? i.e accept play offs or risk a further 9 games and go for 2nd and run the risk of getting caught by Sunderland or others, not in the mix?
Weighted Ppg- ( favoured by League 2 this afternoon) means Portsmouth are out of the play offs
Standard ppg ( favoured by EFL) sees Posh miss out.
Wycombe would be guaranteed play offs either way.
Would appreciate your views but do you think some of the 6 will break ranks?

it needs 51% to pas the motionThe EFL is not a dictatorship nor a bunch of amateurs. We have a genuine clash of interests here so not surprisingly feelings run deep. If I was a Posh fan I would be rooting for him.
I doubt if the delay is what they wanted, but the EFL's main goal is a generally accepted consensus in the form of a unanimous vote so they will wait. A couple of noisy outriders may be tolerated, but each outrider is a potential lawsuit so they would prefer, like a sheep dog, to get them all in the pen in the end. Reading between the lines - and the repetition of the word "creative" ahead of other euphemisms in the statement is a clue - PPG is on the table and Posh and others now have to coaxed into accepting it. The speed of the second meeting - Monday - indicates the EFL are pushing for a resolution, and will probably enforce it over the objectors heads next time.
Nobody knows, but I suspect a 17-6 vote would be deemed unsatisfactory. It would be better if Posh et al could be persuaded to see the writing on the wall - who knows, after a weekend for "reflection" they may. But the signs are good for CCFC
Tomorrow never comes.
I suspect it didn't go to a vote and I bet they absolutely don't want a 12-11 vote (which would be 51%). Every club now knows where all the others sit, so they now go away and think. And hopefully the losers realise they have lost and tow the line, even if they shout and moan about it. As a poster noted, two teams are in the play offs regardless of method and are more likely to break ranks. How the fuck did 12 clubs say no today wtf
Really hope so. Can’t wait to get into town and celebrate with everyoneOkay I think we’re 90% there! Just slightly too early to celebrate but hopefully it will be confirmed Monday
Sort of, normal play offs are over 2 legs though aren't theyOtherwise know as the Play Offs but with 8x teams?
