What happens if teams abstain?
Two votes will take place, 71 EFL clubs will vote to agree to rule change (1st vote... this will mean that if agreed and this happens in future, PPG will be the "rule") This needs 51% to pass;Sorry this may have already been stated.... but when is the vote and when will it been announced? Or is that a complete unknown at the mo?
- Cov should be promoted on the fact they are 5 points clear 1 game in hand and 2 games in hand on some chasers -and the fact from comments that 99% of their fellow league 1 clubs think the same- The rest should play a mini tournament for the final two places - how many teams take part in that small tournament would be the debate - Alternatively Barnsley & Luton Relegated as they are off the pace and Cov and one other (winners of mini tournament) should go up

Anyone know the bloke who's garden was featured on Midlands Today earlier? Absolutely brilliant! A great tribute garden to CCFC!
Are you insane they can’t change the rules- Cov should be promoted on the fact they are 5 points clear 1 game in hand and 2 games in hand on some chasers -and the fact from comments that 99% of their fellow league 1 clubs think the same- The rest should play a mini tournament for the final two places - how many teams take part in that small tournament would be the debate - Alternatively Barnsley & Luton Relegated as they are off the pace and Cov and one other (winners of mini tournament) should go up
I’ll tell you who it won’t contain :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Next season's L1 could include Sunderland, Ipswich, Peterboro, Pompey (?). Luton, Barnsley, Charlton or Hull. Not going to be easy to get out of that league for the big names again next season.
Bolton?I’ll tell you who it won’t contain :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Fair play for finally realizing there is a bigger picture.
Fair play for finally realizing there is a bigger picture.
Very difficult to see how a lot of L1 & 2 clubs can survive being BCD this season, let alone when it continues into next season.
Then that makes him a real piece of work. And a cheap hypocrite. He hasn’t. That was the 12th March.
More of whatever suits him at the time.
Been working 17 hours so far today so can’t understand properly but does that mean he has given up?
It's an old tweet. Pretty much shows that his current crusade is nothing to do with fairness, he's just shit the bed now he's realised that Peterborough would miss out.Been working 17 hours so far today so can’t understand properly but does that mean he has given up?
Wow that’s a shock!!It's an old tweet. Pretty much shows that his current crusade is nothing to do with fairness, he's just shit the bed now he's realised that Peterborough would miss out.
Around 2nd or 3rd June I believeSorry this may have already been stated.... but when is the vote and when will it been announced? Or is that a complete unknown at the mo?
Ok somebody try to reassure me please.
1) both options seem to contain extra games - either to finish the season for everyone (that’s 200 matches) or a behind closed doors play off system. Even the latter doesn’t look remotely feasible to me.
2) even if the EFL decide on ending the season with promotion and relegation, isn’t that contingent on the EPL allowing promotion into and relegation from the Premier League. Now if it’s complicated and a legal mine-field in League One that will be a walk in the park compared to the prospect for litigation in the top-flight.
I’ve a bad feeling that null and void (or at least no promotion or relegation) could still be the only option left after the EFL and EPL fail to agree a way to accommodate members’ wishes. Relegation causes a world of legal pain and even if the promotion places could be sorted there is no support for the promote everyone, relegate no-one option of a few weeks back.
Pressing the reset button is still quite likely I fear. This is because the only clubs who could harbour a serious grievance against that are the very few who looked nailed on for promotion - Leeds, West Brom, Us, Crewe and Swindon - and with none of them being mathematically up and even with the best will in the world and the best lawyers money could buy it’s an unwinnable case.
Somebody, anybody, please reassure me. Tell me why and how I’m wrong. Go.
absolutely, after what would be a three month break form is no longer a factor, there would be a bucketful of random results. The thing about saying you want to play on means a manager could say "we was robbed' if only we could have finished the season' gives them bargaining power and wins the fans support. I think it is fair to say, some directors will be saying one thing and doing another. It ain't cheap playing in the Championship as Burton Albion found out. Some directors are not going to want the financial outlay, but will say another thing, because they have to. Those in the play off positions are not going to want to risk missing out on a chance to go up. Whilst I appreciate that we were in great form and if the season had carried on, I am pretty sure we would have gone up automatically. But after such a long break, it is a lottery and we could blow it, but that is the same for everyone. That's why I think that the top six will vote for PPG and I think that will be the same for the Championship. The only teams that will complain are those who are down and those on the fringes of the play offs. The rest of what they say is rhetoric imo.
although it will be painful TRFC will not vote to continue to play, digging up your pitch sort of indicates their season is over. please somebody tell me why BRFC will want to continue?! unless they are on the receiving end of a bung they have no reason to continue. gillingham cannot seriously believe they will get promoted...….it is done.#ShrewsburyTown and #AFCWimbledon have officially confirmed they have voted for the League One season to be ended early and decided via PPG!

it would be great to think so but bear in mind our players have been furloughed so there has been no collective training etc. it is a fair possibility that many of our players will have not been quite as disciplined as you would expect.still think we would carry on where we left off, no one would fancy playing us, the team spirit was amazing, especially the aeroplane celebration (should do that every time inmo) especially dabo coming across from the wing like a jet pilot
