Old Post......12th March.U turn there ?
It doesn't bother him. While he's firing out random figures has he actually come up with a solution to what actually happens with players whose loans / contracts will have ended?

This I think is where philosoraptors graph's and values cover the weakspots on variables such as who and when an opponent is considered to be a challenge or pushover.Trying to work out a solution covering the supposed strength of teams you have to play is fraught with problems, and no such solution would be able to factor in enough variables to provide a reliable outcome, particularly given results are often contrary to expectation towards the end of a season. A further example of this is that before this season we generally came unstuck against teams in the bottom half, but did well against teams in the top half, so how do you factor in that scenario? Even in this season of seasons we failed to beat Bolton's under 11's! Relying on simple PPG average based on what has actually happened, is a fairer means than theorising an outcome for what hasn't actually happened yet. There is no point making it any more complicated than needs be.
What about player salary?I believe he said there contracts would be extended by a month. I don think he releases he doesn't have that power.
Its hard to know anymore. as the spouts so much.
Looks like him and the Tranmere lady are going to try and work together to come up with a figure or something
What about player salary?
His wage bill is massively out. Ignoring the arbitrary 22 player squad limit he seems to have put in place the EFL have said it will take 56 days to complete the league. Even with a pre-season of only 2 weeks, which is the lowest anyone has suggested, that's £550,000 just for the players. No idea. As his figures re players doesn't make sense.
My understanding is that the first vote is for all 71 teams to agree the two options - play on or ppg with promotion/relegation in both options as previously outlinedThis is getting ridiculous really. I assume now EFL are making sure they do everything by the book. cross the T's dot the i's. So people cant pick holes.
Also not sure you can really count not having to refund TV money as income.
sure clubs opposed to return could come up with a different set of numbers. Kieran MacGuire (who goes through every club's finances) came up with a figure of 500k. Big difference to struggling clubs who can't balance their books by selling a "Toney".I believe he said there contracts would be extended by a month. I don think he releases he doesn't have that power.

You'd have to allow at least a week from a yes vote to get everything in place, and that's being optimistic. 2 weeks training and 6 weeks to complete the season puts us into August.what i do find bizarre now is if as i suspect it will take another 2 weeks for decisions , so training wont start till mid june which is when championship and premier will be starting to play games
I would agree with this.
But it also makes no valution of the average quality of opponents already played by each team which will raise or lower an individual teams PPG. PPG award teams who have a fixture list that is accidentally weighted towards playing other teams at the lower end of the table more, earlier on in a season.
The luck of the fixture draw could have a significant impact on PPG if the season finishes earlier, instead of relying solely on performance with the results teams have in games.
Which vote, I understand there are meant to be two.
I would understand there can't be one vote before the other.
Am I right here?
The window to restart the season looks pretty much slammed shut now.
The first vote is for 71 EFL clubs to accept the EFL proposal (1./ End season on PPG with playoffs and relegation OR 2./ Play all games) into the EFL regulations for this season. 51% wins.My understanding is that the first vote is for all 71 teams to agree the two options - play on or ppg with promotion/relegation in both options as previously outlined
Then individual divisional votes
I guess they have to do this to satisfy the rules and regulations of the EFL
This should then help defend any subsequent legal action
I want answers now dammit

According to the EFL Zone on Twitter, they'll give clubs 5 days notice of this vote from 27th May EFL board meeting, so clubs vote on 1st June.
Then, each division will vote on 1./ or 2./ and again 51% wins. Who knows when this vote will be. Possibly 5 days from EFL board meeting on 3rd June, so we finally find out about promotion on 8th June?!
How can it when it's not one or the options being put forward? It's getting quite concerning on what will happen. If rather we completed games to be undisputed champions, but I am fearing null and void coming back to consideration :/
If this is true, I can't believe how much they are drawing this out. Presumably after vote 1, it will take another month for vote 2!
It's dependent on the first vote of the 71 clubsMusicDating has their finger on the pulse when they post.
They are stating that the 8th of June date is dubious (?!).
His arguement is it should only cost £x to play a game behind closed doors and the clubs will be paying the balance of the wages anyway. What he hasn't ironed out is can those wages be paid bearing in mind the loss playing BCD in terms of match day revenue and walk ups etc.His wage bill is massively out. rightly or wrongly Cov will be promoted as champs.
Disclaimer: my opinion only
what happens if one or two clubs cannot fullfill the remaining fixtures? do they void the points each club got from actually playing them? Bolton going tits up would totally fuckup most of the clubs in the Top 8. City only lose three points and 2 goals for? Pboro loses 6 and 9 goals LOL!
No you probably don't. The quicker the decision, the more likely it is to Posh's wayI want answers now dammit
I am puzzled how the clubs with absolutely nothing to play for will behave were the season be played out. Like say Shrewsbury - who we would play first up I believe. How motivated? What strength side? Will they give a f**k? Or even be resentful at having to play 9 games they don't want. You have a feeling they might roll over, in which it will become a farce, and increasingly so as more teams get added to list of those with nothing to play for. Not even any fans you feel an obligation to to motivate the players.City got 4 points against Bolton ?

Having a laugh about what? I said rightly or wrongly whether you agree about PPG or not we will be promoted as champs? That’s a comment about PPG not about how good Cov are.Are you having laugh? Cov are the best team in the league this season.
