A lot of fans think no once should ever be criticised, he’s form was shocking earlier in the season but that wasn’t the most important thing, me his work rate and desire was way below par but he has put a real shift in the last month so long may it continue.
...or you don't know what you're talking about.

Defenders look terrified of both Simms and Wright

When were on form there’s no escape, push up to compress and we’ll hit MvE and Wrigtt he over the top and Simms through the middle. Back off and Palmer and Sheaf get room to play, drop back and Kitching and Thomas can join in with incisive passing. It’s such a good team.

So, am I right in saying Simms is on 15 in all competitions?

Haji is on 16?

It was clear from the start that him and haji needed time to adjust to the way we play and Robins ethos. As with other players. The problem was some fans wanted a ready made gyokeres replacement. It doesn’t work like that

They were shite for 2/3 of the season, that's why they got stick, they couldn't trap or control a football, and Simms inpaticular didn't work hard enough. None of that is to do with "gelling" or adjusting to our style.

Confidence helps massively of course, and they both benefited from starting to score,
But let's not kid ourselves that we haven't seen some very poor performances from both players earlier in the season.

Something changed after the second international break, (maybe some personal one to one training?) and since then they have worked harder and both have improved dramatically, they're both having a purple patch in front of goal at the moment and long may it continue.

We looked quite open second half but not sure we concede without a mistake

Theres no doubt the management and coaching staff have been working on both but I still believe confidence is the main driver

These were two young guys, one moving to a new league and new country with a young family, the other even younger (also I think with a little un) moving to a new team and area. Our squad had a massive upheaval in the summer and struggled to find a style/identity early doors, yet some fans still felt it was ok to give new lads dogs abuse and write them off after a dozen games.

It’s not surprising that once we had a more settled system and they got a bit of confidence, things started to click. Chuffed for both of them

So basically since February he's been fantastic , and the player we all want to see ..lots of us have given him pelters and probably gave up on him too soon , there's no doubt now that ellis simms is coventrys main man now

20 league goals next season maybe ?
He coukd get this season in all competitions. His mins per goal now isn't out of place in top scorers list. Goal every 189 mins. Upward trajectory.

Yes, but some people saw that potential, others didn't

I have just had a look back to the start of this and it’s amazing how many of the players we were linked with we got, Whittaker is the one that we didn’t get that stands out.
