Loads scattered about yesterday, especially in the JSB section which has supposedly been sold out all season.
I know it's Boxing Day and people can't always attend but I find it mental that so many people aren't turning up with their season tickets for games priced at £37. Week night games are understandable but there's always loads of empty seats in 'sold out' areas of the North and West Stand.
Are people scared of passing their season tickets to friends due to Doug clamping down on it?
@Sky Blue Pete lots are mentioned a sell back scheme. Is this something you can bring up with the club. Plenty were asking for tickets on Facebook and in WhatsApp groups yesterday and couldn't get them. They'd have paid £37 if people had released their ST seats. It seems we gave a general home admission capacity of about 23,000 and nearly fill that most games now.
Between this season and last we've sold out 2 league games.
Not sure a sell back scheme is viable unless you're selling out a large proportion of your games.

what are the issues? it can only be an issue with the roller shutters which can be easily replaced, the stand itself was designed to be able to hold 6000 and be split between teams at the same time
Has anyone got the rest of that? Sounds like they're actively looking to do something about the south stand which is good news.
Has there actually been a clampdown? They've made an effort to stop adults getting in on kids tickets which is fair enough but I havent' seen anything that would suggest if you lent your season ticket to your mate there would be an issue.
The family zone thing has been an issue all season, some games it seem barely half full, and more adults than kids. Not sure how you solve that problem but I certainly can't see that zone being expanded next season as some people have called for.

Yeah, it will take promotion for that to become viable. Is frustrating though that the club couldn't sell any more tickets despite these being empty seats, and an awful lot of them in the JSB section.
Weirdly, there were also empty seats in blocks 4 and 5, which were opened up and fully sold. Who pays £37 and then doesn't turn up?
Officially you shouldn't do it, unofficially they're not bothered as long as it's adult to adult or child to child.
how the fuck would anyone know? If an adult is going in on an adult ticket unless you're acting like a twat and get your ticket checked how would anyone knowI've seen people receive written warnings about passing STs on.
People have been getting letters from the club. I'm not sure if it's because of kids tickets.
the female steward by the steps at 15 calls me by my name these days as she has checked my ticket so much so it make be an issue in teh corner but you don't have your ticket checked anywhere else do you?how the fuck would anyone know? I've never been asked for any form of ID to prove its me named on the season ticket

What is the issue with the balcony? I thought it was just that it was corporate and people stayed inside.

You'd be surprised at the intel they have on people.

A sell back scheme won't work unless the game is sold out a few weeks in advance.... we're not quite there yet. But would be a nice bonus earner for the club if they buy back an ST seat pro rata for about £20 and can then sell it on again for £37. But realistically it's not going to happen unless we're in the Prem and/or selling out weeks in advance most weeks.Loads scattered about yesterday, especially in the JSB section which has supposedly been sold out all season.

maybe its just in that corner. we don't even have the same steward every game where I am let alone them knowing peoples names and not once have I even been asked to show I have a ticket let alone that I'm in the right block and prove my namethe female steward by the steps at 15 calls me by my name these days as she has checked my ticket so much so it make be an issue in teh corner but you don't have your ticket checked anywhere else do you?
they aren't going to be very excited with any intel on me. Turns up 30 minutes before kick off and buys a cup of tea at half timeYou'd be surprised at the intel they have on people.
potentially more trouble than its worth. we all know that unless people selling their ticket got 100% of the matchday ticket price they'd kick off about being ripped off by the club when in reality at best you'd get a percentage back and have to pay fees to whatever service we used to facilitate the resale.A sell back scheme won't work unless the game is sold out a few weeks in advance.... we're not quite there yet. This passing on tickets should be allowed. It increases the likelihood of people paying at some point and fosters good relations between season ticket holders and their mates. Also the ticket is paid for anyway. Pie and a pint as well.Could also be that some people openly offer to pass on their tickets on Facebook under their own name. Seem that often.

Goes for a leak at least once, has a couple of cans out the Christmas bonus pack of 1664 !maybe its just in that corner. we don't even have the same steward every game where I am let alone them knowing peoples names and not once have I even been asked to show I have a ticket let alone that I'm in the right block and prove my name

That's the Northerners attitude though 'I've fucking paid for it, So I'm fucking going'.I think it's the number that is surprising. Will always be missing ST holders, but Preston sold out yesterday and it looked like one. Also, the East Stand side of the ground there were very few empty seats.
