One email between Weber Shandwick staff on December 11, 2012, which initially mentions the latest round of Ricoh manoeuvres and negotiations, states: “But upshot of call is that they want to go after Seppala... “They are keen on us building up a new timeline to set out a PR attack on Joy.
“I don’t really want to get into mudslinging from ACL, as I think that starts to eat away at credibility with fans.”
On February 16, 2013, one Weber Shandwick employee emailed another colleague saying: “Can we get an insight into (redacted) state of mind? Is there a chance they will turn on (redacted). On Joy?”
The email goes on to suggest the Press should get down to the part of London where she lives, and that her address could be found on a website.
Another, in April 2014, states: “The job required was done on Seppala in the very early stages of the campaign.”
It looks like the people judging it are councillors and people from the council with some who are close to Lucas? You can pretty much guarantee they will say nothing was done wrong can't you?
There are some documents here - http://democraticservices.coventry.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=161&MId=10965

This bit is very interesting if true, isn't it?
Good post Nick because it's about time BUT all I'm asking for is a little more honesty and clarity however do you think CCC are accountable for any of the decisions taken over recent years? Coombe Abbey Hotel or recent election of Deputy Leader are just a couple that Spring to mind but sure there are many others.
Ms Seppala highlighted the extracts from the Weber Shandwickemails which made several comments about her personally and alsomade suggestions about how to locate her home address.
I find that there was not any strategy of targeting Ms Seppalapersonally in the press. I find that the Council considered thatthere was a need to adopt a robust defence of their approach inthe press but that was a legitimate approach to take in thecircumstances.
Amazing how close the council were to the PR firm which apparently was independently commissioned by ACL which made the detail of cost exempt from FOI.

Think its very interesting that they have censord great swathes of personal information but left AL's mobile phone number in their. Any one rang the old gal up yet?
No they were voted in to represent the people to do what they believed their constituents wanted, this happens in every council in the country.
Just glad I never Voted for them.....
And while were on the honesty wagon..... Where the fuck is our New Ground you promised us..........
New ground, that old chestnut. Anyway, does anyone here feel the Labour Party in Coventry has turned itself into a closed shop. Been looking online and all I can find is help with my diet.

Its like they have given up listening to people.
just don't vote for them, enough do that and they will be out
What exactly is the point of this exercise? The whole thing is a farce and I'm not sure how they can get away with it.
Just goes to show that once again the club and the fans had no regard shown for them.
I think it is so the council can say the council did nothing wrong, quite obvious.
To say there was no PR assault etc, even though it is in black and white in emails is a bit strange.
It is a blatant and obvious lie. I'm surprised the electorate is so apathetic and let this go
To be honest you could make a case for anything from that evidence.
Where's the source ?
Another Les Reid article, no bias there then :thinking about:

You also posted a link to Reids article, which (in its headline) calls the council report a 'flawed' and 'whitewash', so no bias there :thinking about:
Reading the actual report will take some time, it is many pages.
