I wouldn't mind Harry Redknapp as England boss - though I'd never want to see him as our club manager. He seems to have a habit of blowing as much cash as he can so at least with the England job, he couldn't do that!
A wheeler dealer and a bit dodgy, one of the people. He would play good football and be popular with the masses, but I think he's missed the boat. If they were going to offer it to him then it would have been last time or the time beforer that and I don't think he would be popular with the FA in the same way Clough wasn't.
It's also another 12 months on at least, so a lot could happen. Spurs could be poor and other options could come to the fore by then.
I actually don't think Harry is that tactically great either, but it's a sad state of affairs that for me he is currently the only credible option if we're looking for an Englishman.
I guess the players would already be well coached so maybe tactics aren't the missing ingredient and perhaps what they are lacking is someone to bring together some team spirit, respect and who would allow them freedom to express themselves like Thorny has done for us and hopefully in that sense HR could be the man.
This may be controversial as he isn't English, but I'd quite like to see Owen Coyle as England manager. Young and upcoming, plays good football and gets the best out of his players. Wouldn't just pick players on reputation either.
I have my bullet vest on. Im prepared to be well and truly shot down!!
The job is Redknapps all over he is an absolute media whore. The England job suits him perfectly, he is the delboy of the football world using underhand tactics to get ahead in the game but getting away with it as he is a cheeky chappy.
I agree we couldn't have a scot but Coyle would have been a good shout along with Lambert for me. I think Pearce might have a look in with the Under 21s, think they'll do well this year.
If we had a referendum on the matter, Harry would walk it
He would be the fans choice for sure;
Wouldn't it be great if England played like Spurs, there's no other candidate that fits the bill, if we want an Englishman in charge.
"F.A......Don't Tarry...Give it Arry" :claping hands:
it gets me why we alway's think we are better than the others and we alway's make ourselves amongst the favourites for any comp history proves we are not and shouldn't i am english through and through but get fed up with the embarrassment
of alway's failing
