I take it Moore will be given a run out in goalSounds boring.
Can robins let us know before I buy tickets if he's bothered?
If we’d have drawn Man City at home instead of Oxford then it would be hard to say the same thing - it’s a great tournament and well worth preserving.I love it. But when teams out size started putting out U21 sides it’s gone let’s be honest.

I think Mr K might just have a word in his shell like.Dear Mark, please may we have a decent cup run this year? Don’t play about with the team like you did last year against Wrexham, and for once, let’s not get beaten by a team one, two or three leagues below us. At least we haven’t been drawn against a National league side, who would almost certainly beat us. Oxford is an eminently winnable tie, play our best team (if you know what that is) and let’s get into the fourth round. One of these days, we’ll get a plum draw…..
Well, yeah - got to keep some cup traditions going.I take it Moore will be given a run out in goal
Sure. And to do that teams need to stop treating it like an U21 friendly.
Partly though because some of the teams who might have a fighting chance of winning it if they took it seriously, also decide to field weak teams so go out early on.It’s a bit of a myth - this century it’s been dominated by big teams - only Portsmouth and Wigan are really small club winners of it
Decent win against a then top flight Stoke side when we were in League 2, mind. What's our cup record like since Robins took over? Since that checkatrade season it feels like we go out pretty quickly in each competition we play.
Lg 2 season was 5th Rd wasn't it? After beating (then) Prem Lg Stoke. What's our cup record like since Robins took over? Since that checkatrade season it feels like we go out pretty quickly in each competition we play.
That's the spirit...Shite draw and can't see us beating them tbh.
It’s inevitable that the bigger sides will prefer to focus on other competitions - that’s fine, it’s only natural, and it doesn’t detract from the excitement that teams lower down the pyramid get from the opportunity to play a big side. What’s the alternative, forcing teams to play full strength sides? Seems like a good way to kill off the tournament altogether imo.Sure. Remain convinced that and the checkatrade win changed the dynamic around the place, gave us glimmers of hope when there was none.

Pretty shit as far as I can remember!Since then, how have we done out of interest? That waa a great win but there's been a good few years since that with what seems like a lot of forgettable games.
That’s too cheap for me , it demeans it a bit and you have to remember the away club will be entitled to a cut of the revenue. What a shame that the cup competitions have been so disrespected for a good while now .
We have a good chance of progressing , but of course, our own manager doesn’t seem interested in the Fa cup , but come on Doug & Boddy , give the loyal fans something back & charge £1 for kids & £ 10 adults , to give everyone some new year cheer ?

Remember, Oxford have to agree any price reduction....It has the potential to be a really good old fashioned cup tie, to succeed though Robins needs to put the first team out ( If he’s worked out by then what that is ) and DK has to price it realistically
£20 adults
£10 Under 18s
It would most likely mean the big teams pull out of the FA Cup altogether. How would teams playing full strength teams kill off the tournament altogether? Surely it’d have the opposite affect
I think it was £15 and it worked as over 18,000 turned upDidnt they charge £20 for Wrexham? I remember it not being cheap.
18000 turned up for Wrexham with around 5000 of them away fans. Given how FEW Saturday games we have had I am surprised for what should be a good value game, why you think it will only be die hards who go. Think our fan base is a little bigger and more loyal than you give them credit for.Make it £5 entry. Every chance we'll lose, and it'll be freezing cold, so only die hards will turn up. I've got no interest in this tie.
We are bigger rivals to Scumberland than Newcastle are. Scumberland obsess over us, We dont give them a second thought, irrelevant club. I always look for their result after ours and celebrate when they lose and check their forum daily to see their tears. They obsess about us. WE dont even think about them.Pick of the bunch will be Sunderland v Newcastle.
ErrrmWe dont give them a second thought, irrelevant club. I always look for their result after ours and celebrate when they lose and check their forum daily to see their tears.

Shut up you f*cking soft c*ntGet off here you clown. The failed trolling is embarrassing.
What, like you are doing now? Almost, but not quite, Greggs level of wumming! We are bigger rivals to Scumberland than Newcastle are. I agree with most of that.I’m no apologist for Aston Villa, but to dismiss their history is to ignore the fact that they have a trophy laden past. I would also take exception to the idea that the European Cup was irrelevant when they won it. I think football fans paid far more attention to the competition as it was then than they do today. In those days money was important but was not the deciding factor in whether you won trophies or not. As there was no freedom of contract, managers could carefully build a team over a number of seasons and would know that your star players could not simply choose to leave when their contract ended. To win the European Cup you did actually have to be the champions of your country, ironic really when you think what the current competition is called.
If others think the same as you, then it won’t be long until people say about 1987 and all that, ‘Well it was only the FA Cup’
Disagree, this is a perfect 3rd round draw. Should win, be much cheaper than league and a good few away fans. Kind of a local derby .Shite draw and can't see us beating them tbh.
Stupid commentKnowing Robins lack of interest in the cup competitions, Wilson will get a game , along with Fadz , so hopefully, if at home , we can give them a good send off !
