It's not true, flag and pole just have to fit certain requirements and you're allowed it on.

There's one about Blackburn regarding crest on the corner flag ! Think it's a triangle flag? It was because they won the cup 3 years in a row!

I heard that off Notting hill I think, when the welsh bloke's sitting in the bath, he said Cardiff can because they've won it but Swansea can't have square flags because they haven't won it lol
