Linnell twittered it didn't he? My instant response was "no chance" of McEcheran, who would surely interest Premiership clubs and promotion-chasing Championship clubs with a budget (and that aint us, folks). The Man City 'keeper..is he the Faroe Islands one? Mmm, not too sure about that. Haven't we got plenty of GK's? Murphy may even be fit for Monday yet. Seems unlikely that AT would go so overboard in praising Burge only to not trust him to be on the bench. It's hardly an emergency compared to last year when we just pitched in Quirke-who did brilliantly. Wonder where he is now?

McEachran is an excellent player. Future England international prospect.

If he comes her I will eat my hat.

In fact if he comes here I will go out and buy a hat just so i can eat it!

Is this red or brown source to go on the hat for Otis?

Chilli sauce and sweet red onions.

Takes away the taste of the harsh tweed somewhat.

I see why you will need a new hat to eat. Looks as though you had to eat your last one ;)

I am forever having to eat my hat.

This is why I have a privilege card and monthly account with 'Stetsons Are Us.'

My favourite film is also 'Top Hat.'

We now play the game the way managers of top teams want teams to play when they loan young players. We are getting exposure on Sky. Another showing like against Derby tomorrow and managers will be asking us to take their players if we enquire about them. We are not a lob the ball up as fast as we can anymore.

McEachran is far too good for the Championship. let alone a team nearer the wrong end of the table of said league.

I am not saying we will get him. I am not saying any club in the Championship will get him either. How long ago was it that Henderson was playing in the Championship though? Look where he is playing now. The idea is to get them experience, and if it means going to a championship team to get games then that is where a fair few players will go. Some teams prefer their players to stay in the Prem. Others want them playing elsewhere than the prem. These days I do not think teams loaning players out are allowed to say who they can and can't play against.

We'll see, we'll see ;)

Don't get me wrong here. IF we were by some sort of miracle able to get him I would be absolutely chuffed to bits and would probably be straight down William Hill's to put a couple of hundred quid on us being promoted.

Well they do owe us for taking Lee Sawyer off their hands for a few months...

Can't see why we'd want a GK tho, Dunn looked good enough Vs Derby.

What sort of midfielder is this McEchran<sp?> even if we don't stand a chance I like to daydream...

A left-sided/central creative midfielder.

But things this good don't happen to Coventry City. Reminds me a bit of when we were getting Joe Cole on loan :D

Promoted? Are you on drugs? We will not get anyone.

How am i on drugs when I posted "IF" in capital letters and then followed that with "by some sort of a miracle?"

I say it will need a miracle to get the player. How does that put me on drugs?

Also, I imagine every club in the championship is making enquiries about McEachran. Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal probably have hotlines set-up for this.

Arsenal: I'm afraid all our youngsters are currently engaged. This is due to the unforeseen shitness of the first team. Please try again later.

IF this guy goes out on loan from Chelsea its got to be to a Championship team as Prem teams cant loan players out of the transfer window. I think we've as good a chance as any Championship club to get him. We've had good links before with Chelsea, albeit when Kean was our number 2, but I doubt this links would have disolved just because he moved on. Now before im beaten down for calling it a 'good link' i realise we only had 2 players from them, but im sure Chelsea wont just let their players join any team. Admittidly, Sawyer was awful, but Van Aarnholt wasnt too bad was he?? Some work out, some dont, and as McEachran was jear their first team (i.e. on the bench) last season, they must rate him highly. Hes unlikely to get into their first team atm, so why shouldnt we show ambition and try and get him?? As mentioned above, Henderson was unknown when we signed him, and look how he turned out!
