Harsh on Hyam, think hes done well this year. Hes at least bottom half of the table quality.

Unfortunately the last transfer window spoke volumes. Despite being well below us at the time Forest showed real intent in strengthening their squad and maximising their use of the loan system, while we did the opposite. Subsequent injuries, Hamer suspension, player tiredness etc have ensured our fall down the table.

Last season we had Giles, McCallum, Ostigaard, James, Gyokeres and Sheaf on loan which really bolstered the squad and helped us finish the season well. MR clearly stated that he didn't want to be so reliant this season on loans and for the most part he has been successful in doing so, but given we have only had Maatsen & Clarke-Salter as loan signings this season, the extra 3 loans we could have used from January might have had a crucial impact on our season.

Aside from Derby I presume no other Championship side has used as few as 2 loan players over the season, & I think for us to progress (or even stand still) next season we are going to have to find a better balance in our use of contracted and loan players.

For me it comes down to how we compete in games. In pretty much every single one I would say we have done that at the very least, and in fact in quite a lot of cases I would say we were the better team. The results have not reflected that though, and that´s what frustrates me a lot.

´Don´t take your chances, get punished´ must be one of the most seen things on here this season other than the laughing emoji, and being more clinical is something we really need to work on. The midfield offer almost no goal threat, which is one of the things that really stands out for me.

McFadzean and Hyam have 3 and 2 goals respectively. The former is level with O´Hare and Hamer, whilst even Hyam has scored more than Sheaf, Allen, and Waghorn. In fact, he has scored the same amount as them combined.

The recruitment is a bit questionable as well, with some of the so called proven championship players being overall very average at best. We have a very tight budget so the room for error is really small. No doubt that makes things difficult, but then when you add in the lack of depth, you are looking at a very small pool of players to actually find the back of the net out of the squad we have.

At times I have really enjoyed this season, but I cannot help but feel frustrated.

It was all over the moment I drunkenly bunged money on us to sneak promotion after that fantastic 2nd half demolition job on sheff Utd.

Top half is still an achievement this season......it just won't bag me 3 grand.

We finished above Forest and Huddersfield last season, they've both had remarkable turnarounds!

This is why I initially questioned Boddy's comments last summer regarding us steering away from the loan market as in recent years it's been a recruitment area where we've probably found the most consistent success.

Not sure in truth. Gives me some hope we were reportedly after Jamie Paterson and Tom Lawrence last summer. I know these players don't come cheap but it's been clear as day that the lack of goals from midfield has held us back. Desperately need some pace as well.

No squad, no money. Huge potential wasted

Last 25 points per game 1.16. Over a season that’s 53 points. Which is kind of what I expected pre season so the first third was a massive bonus

We've made significant improvement year on year since being relegated to L2, which is amazing. The fact that we've managed to overcome the 2nd season syndrome in the championship is another positive, especially when you consider that Fisher , some years ago [pause for booing].....stated that the clubs business model wouldn't not be sustainable in the Championship. It'll be interesting to see how being back at the CBS has helped the finances and if we have managed to break even?

When we got promoted from L1 to the Championship, it was suggested that we'd achieved that a year early. However, due to the excellent work of MR & the coaching team we have now secured a 3rd season in the Championship.

In terms of vision, the club is consistently communicating the "incremental improvement" message. Therefore, even if the club had some money to splash in January [which they definitely didn't] it potentially wouldn't spend it anyway, as they might have focussed on using that money in the summer transfer market to get better value.

Our recruitment over past seasons has been generally positive. The two loans of Clarke-Salter & Maatsen have been good along with permanent signing of Moore, Sheaf & Gyokores. I didn't understand the Waghorn recruitment, as he looked slow last year at Derby and past his best. Especially, given the rumoured salary for him.

I'm worried that we will not be able to off-load Walker, Da Costa, etc, which will impact on MR's budget for the summer. As for player sales then I hope we can either get massive fees for just one of our best players, which MR is given 75% to reinvest or SISU sniff the promised land of the PL and decide to invest. However, I might be being too optimistic!

Finally, I've enjoyed this season & the great support of the sky blue army.

Fallen short as we spunked what little money we had on a LWB who isn’t very good at LWB , who turns out isn’t to bad playing CB, when we have an attacking midfielder who is shit at being an attacking midfielder but isn’t to bad as a back up option at LWB, when we should of gone out and got atleast one attacking midfielder in who can actually put the ball in the back of the net and not hit it straight at the keeper or 10ft over the bloody cross bar!

In retrospect the signing of Waghorn has cost us quite dearly. He was evidently our flagship Summer signing who was supposed to fit in playing just behind our main striker, be it Godden or Gyokeres. Our investment in him however has not been matched by his return, and looking back we would have been much better signing Patterson instead, which it looks like we could have done at that time.

Who knows? I don't imagine Waghorn joined us not expecting first team football!!

When Patterson was rumoured last Summer I wasn't over keen, as I felt a lot of people that were pushing to sign him were doing so for 'Cov Kid' sentimental reasons, but his performances this season have been good by the looks of it. It would certainly have been useful to have his goal return this season repeated in our colours instead of Waghorn's.
