If that happens leagues will just have to adapt and downsize and that includes wages.Completely understand why people are keen to go to games again (I'm really missing away days), but I really can't see us been allowed in until spring next year. I think winter is when the second spike is likely to hit. I think it is also a good point that lower leagues simply won't survive without crowds though. Is there a possibility that next season won't be played at all? The only way it can be is if the premier league provides funds to league 1 and 2 as far as I am concerned.
I would have thought that if we had shite weather during lockdown it would have kept the idiots indoors and the transmission rate would have dropped sooner,That's because we locked down too late, there was not track and trace system in place and we've failed to seal our borders. In short our governments response has been weak.
As for sunlight it does help a little....but my point was that that minimal impact disappears in the shorter days, so come autumn there is increased chance of a second spike.

I’ve got one that I’ll take to the first game we’re allowed back to. Double trouble
so in the last 38 days , there have been 13 covid deaths in cov
in the 43 previous days there were 206 deaths (almost 5 a day)
The last death was on june 4th (death free for 2 weeks)
we have virtually the same number of days in total before the end of September

People who died with covid not necessarily deaths from covid... not meaning to be a dick about it but it's a subtle difference that the press seem to ignore
Exactly ‘you can’t easily explain 65000 deaths away. It’s really not. The press ignore it because it’s silly bollocks. Excess deaths shows the impact of corona, what exactly is written as cause of death is irrelevant. Unless you’ve got a hypothesis that explains a concurrent spike in deaths for unrelated reasons.
That could probably work, in theatres, cinemas, zoos, tennis, golf perhaps even horse racing but the trouble is football fans are a different animal old habits such as arriving the last minute, herd mentality and being basically an arse follows us all about unfortunately. We all know if 10% are allowed at certain clubs double or treble that will turn up, then what do authorities do let them in where they can corral them or wander the town.i recon a 1/3 capacity would give you enough room to be socially distant (it will be 1 meter soon) so using SA or RICOH they could open all gates and all of the seating areas and by allocating tickets to gate entrances and directing those people to seats which have been allocated to those gate entrances and managing the queue lines would work?
But what about all the deaths that have occured because people would not or could not get to their Doctors or hospital as they were frightened of catching the virus, a lot of these people probably had heart problems, blood pressure problems, diabetes etc they could have survived and not become a statistiic if you ask me.Exactly ‘you can’t easily explain 65000 deaths away.
Well that is the unspoken about issue there is the official line of 45000 or so coronavirus deaths, but there are thousands of early deaths from other issues not dealt with in time because of coronavirus will probably never get near the correct full figure but I’d guess it’s similar to the one above... frighteningI know but what a

Fair comment but i still thibk fans will be back soonJapan had 33 cases yesterday and no deaths, has strict immigration rules and a populace used to social distancing, with experience of SARS, and very compliant with government instructions. We are not Japan by any measure.
September i feel. 35-50% capacity, no away fans
Exactly ‘you can’t easily explain 65000 deaths away.
Its actually Belarus not Serbia and I know that they are not happy with their President who basically told them to drink vodka and take saunas. They see this as "He doesn't care about us".They will take Corona out the back, stab it to fuck, beat it and then go back to catching bullets in their teeth and drinking 90% proof Vodka like it's water.
Well ours told us to ‘wash our hands’ and sing ‘happy birthday’ I know which I’d prefer. Its actually Belarus not Serbia and I know that they are not happy with their President who basically told them to drink vodka and take saunas. They see this as "He doesn't care about us".
That’s exactly what they did oh and we dont drink crap potato alcoholThey will take Corona out the back, stab it to fuck, beat it and then go back to catching bullets in their teeth and drinking 90% proof Vodka like it's water.
That made me laughMate, who are you!?
Governments don't produce vaccinesA vaccine the ultimate answer ? Who in gods name is gonna wanna take a vaccine from this government? They’ve pretty much fucked up the whole way through lol
How would deals be scuppered by people posting on a football forum? That made me laugh
I'm involved in a few different things including logistics - distributing stuff including for Oxford Uni, NHS and some others taking part in the clinical trials
Know a few people in football too which is how I get to hear things
I only post info that I know isn't going to cause problems or scupper deals etc
If you hear about it in the early stages and don't want to alert other clubsHow would deals be scuppered by people posting on a football forum?
Be interesting to know what percentage of the population got the flu in 99/00 and 151999 2000 winter, there was just under 50000 excess deaths attributed to the bad flu epidemic of the year
2015 an extra 45000
so 65000 to 50000 /45000 is not a big step
I certainly dont remember any mass panic that in 99/00 - the only bug people were panicking about was the Millennium variety
so it needs some sort of perspective
I think it’s how easy and quickly it spreads thats the big problem aswell as some complex medical problems it seems hits the older generation1999 2000 winter, there was just under 50000 excess deaths attributed to the bad flu epidemic of the year

They seem to be making a big fuss about getting this Oxford drug into mass production. In your opinion, is this throwing money at the production in the hope that it's going to be OK, or do they honestly think this will be a game changer? Not trying to put you on the spot, just would be nice to have some input from a source who's not swayed by government/anti-government PR.That made me laugh

I guess if there is something really positive on the horizon, it may mean a return to crowds quicker than anticipated.
