Nimely in 14 matches won three penalties, had two players sent off for fouls on him. Scored a goal. Set up 4. Then played for us whilst injured.
He did all that for a team in the bottom three of the championship.
Personally think it was quite clear what potential he had.
Glad the question was asked now so the whole nimely thing can be put to bed. He isn't coming, in all honesty. He would be wasted in div 3.

tbf I take the point people make about his lack of striker instinct and movement in the box but he offered more than that

He was pacey could drop deep or run down the flanks, he had a fantastic first touch and ball control and great dribbling ability. He had flair and creativity and could link up the play and was strong for his body size, had a good work rate and attitude also. Stick him up with a natural scorer as a supporting striker or backing up behind a front two and I think you would have a great forward line in this division

Did you deliberately miss out his stats at Middlesbrough or was it coincidence?

177 minutes played (less than 2 games) with no starts and mostly out wide in that time
0 goals

Doesn't seem like he was given much of a chance

Didn't say before season starts said before window closes.

I was in the room and understood every word. AT clearly thinks there were individuals who were negative last season those people have gone so we could speculate who they are but what's the point. Interesting that RS thinks the tricky fixture of the first three will be Bury at home. That is the one that will test the metal of the players and give us an idea if we can be challengers or or also rans's.

PUSB!

Harrison, Deegan and Clingan? Not Platt, Keogh or Cranie, all of whom he's spoken well of and wanted to keep.

On "squad players to leave", he didn't say that, he just didn't rule it out. I'm thinking ROD & Jeffers, possibly on loan, maybe some other youngsters loaned out, and particularly if we sign this mystery forward and/or Polo.

I'm not sure he has another striker lined up, he mentioned another player and then the next question was if it was Polkadot which he immediately answered no, as if it just caught him out and he reacted.

I don't know exactly where Thorn's been but he's got a hell of a tan. Joe Elliott had his legs out too, bizarrely. There is a point when you're too old for shorts.

I heard it as a very clear message that he has someone in very advanced talks who isn't Polo, and no-way was he going to tell us who it was. That implies it's someone good :claping hands:

I think we'll get a striker in and ship ROD out, probably to Scotland. Then loan out any of Jeffers, Ruffles, Daniels, Roberts and maybe Willis and Henderson, to get some experience.

I hope so. I'd be happy with Popopopo if only to have an extra body up top, but if there's someone ahead of him on the wishlist that'd be promising.

It'd be nice if he signed both polo and this mystery striker! I mean...11 signings for the season

just listened to it now, all sounds positive. lets's hope it's still that way after tomorrows game!

be interesting to see what happens in January if we are in a position then to mount a promotion push. Will SISU open the wallet to strengthen or will they ship a couple out to pay the bills?

Yes - but as AT says as long he can replace the numbers he will be happy. We have to remember we have always been and always will be a selling club - unless a mad billionaire decides to buy us! PUSB!
