People recognise intelligence, not sure what else I can say about it all.

I do like how people still think it serious though and get wound up by it.

I do not recall Nick expressing any disquiet at the news about Ryton or asking where the City would train if it were to be sold.
Despite all the evidence that SISU will not put more money into the club he thinks it will be 'all right' somehow.

That's because Ryton can't be sold without owners/club providing alternative training facilities. It's not rocket science!

As even simple semantics is beyond you gawd help us if the formula is the stuff of rocket science.

The point being made has zoomed over your poor little head, I'll try and explain it for the hard of understanding.. the Sport England remit only applies to pitches and (undefined)
ancillary facilities (which I take to mean changing rooms as a minimum), it does not necessarily mean that the rest of the facilities in the existing building will be replaced, neither does it mean that the replacement facilities will be used by CCFC.

There is quite a lot of stuff in the building at Ryton (pictured) like offices and weight rooms and physiotherapy facilities, the club hasn't stated when & where or even if they will be replaced, they have bought no land etc. etc. All they've done is make a meaningless statement about Football having outgrown Ryton, which I take to be a pretext to sell it and move into temporary facilities while they (unsuccessfully) look for a new site. How much would it cost to replace that building with an equivalent facility, ask yourself if you trust SISU to replace it, I bloody well don't.

If you can show me where Sport England policy mandates the club replace their existing facilities other than the pitches & basic changing facilities an unambiguous fashion I will certainly apologise but I can't see it.

PS My mental image of you RFC is one of those nodding dogs you used to see in the back of cars, they weren't equipped with brains either!

That is utter tosh. All that have to do is ensure that there are a couple of pitches somewhere , they probably don't even have to be football pitches. they can then rent somewhere and develop the site.

So people should be shouting GO without a plan for when they do? People should be expected to boycott watching the team they have supported for years without an actual reason in how it will help or what will happen afterwards?

You don't have to shout if you don't want to that's up to you.
Myself yes I believe if our owners go and we go into adminstration somebody else will pick us up.
I don't believe I have to know who that is before deciding I would like these owners to go.
The new owners can only be just as bad so it's worth a punt and the hope they are not as bad and don't believe our future lies in a 12k stadium.

Agreed. I actually feel quite angry about the boycott on the 22nd. It was the wrong game ST Holders have already paid for their tickets, tickets were already on general sale, so some would have already purchased matchday tickets. I find it a bit of a kick in the teeth for ST holders, and personally I think its going to be a bit of disaster and the crowd will still be 6k+ and not having the desired impact.

I would totally support a full boycott of a cup game, but I am not boycotting the 22nd the main reason is because I take my 5 year old who is huge city fan who nags me everyday if we're "going to the Ricoh on saturday to see the sky blues". He can't come to night games as its past his bedtime, so his last game was Oldham on 17th September, its not fair on him to deny him going on the 22nd and then having to wait another 3-4 weeks for a home Saturday game (12th Nov) which would have been pretty much 2 months since his last game if we boycott the 22nd.

Totally agree with Stu.
That's a good compromise though.

The best idea for me would be to support the club outside the ground for the televised match

I would hope adequate means better than Ryton. Mark Venus said we are selling Ryton because we need bigger and better facilities.
Strange one to use some of the player budget doing the place up last season.
I can only assume we didn't know we were going to knock it down then.

Wrong. RBC and sports England have said pitch's. Nothing about training facilities for CCFC. All they're interested in saying is that there's X amount of pitches in RBC territory before the development and there's still the same after. If you read what RBC have said I don't think it mentions CCFC let alone training facilities for CCFC. Have you learned nothing from all the new stadium BS? You can't take anything our owners and board say at face value. I'd thought you would have learned that from past mistakes.

If we are using the stadium stuff as an example then we should hardly get angry about Ryton going just yet

That's the thing Nick. They've done more in three weeks to convince people that Ryton is going than they have over the last 3+ years to convince anyone (RFC aside) that a new ground is coming. Worrying isn't it Nick.
