Fans statement (1 Viewer)

What notice is reasonable to give fans who bought tickets to make travel arrangements for a new stadium?

If it is true.

I have not bought my tickets yet.

However this is where as a fan I would now want to be heard and would demand a refund.

It's a personal decision but fans need to be heard now and I would be demanding refund on season tickets and any other ticket I would not travel even if the club paid for the travel.

A zero attendance would make a massive statement from the fans.

A tough personal decision for people.

If Fridays game does not go ahead somewhere then we will get a points reduction for not fulfilling a fixture

If we failed to fulfil that fixture the likelyhood is we would be kicked out of the league. Unless we got permission from the FL to postpone the match which in my opinion is highly unlikely. ACL have said yesterday CCFC are NOT barred from the Ricoh. Everything carrys on as normal.

I assume if they said we are sharing with Walsall

If you did ask for a refund they would legally have to honour due to the change of venue?

As I understand it the club could remove itself from the Ricoh to minimise any on-going liability from the lease, particularly if they were looking for CCFC Ltd to be brought out of administration via a CVA rather than completely liquidating it. It may not matter what ACL say if Sisu don't want to play there.

I can't believe people are talking about refunds for 3 games when the entire club hangs in the balance. Talk about missing the big picture.

Am I the only only one who thinks the club 'sisu' thought the case would be dropped yesterday, as it wasn't and were back in court on Monday sisu acted like they did yesterday? Seems a strange stance to me, and there must be a reason for it!!! And again the people who matter most are left in limbo, didn't the club say they would make sure we would be kept informed with all developments!

King I think it is more of a case of making a statement. f If you do this sort of thing to the fans there will be no fans.

An empty stadium may lead to a quick decision and give the fans a voice in all of this.

I'm sure they have acted on advice from their lawyers, their lawyers would have predicted that ACLs best strategy in this instance would be to go for an adjournment. I doubt the adjournment was a surprise to them..

They have been planning for this for a long time. They have probably been surprised it took ACL this long to do what they have done.

One thing for sure us the fans will be the last consideration on SISU 's agenda

It seems now a fight to the end, reading ACL statement that they want the whole club in admin, so their Administrators can sell to another investor.
I thought it was a poker game but it now appears no one will see sense and perfer to spend a fortune in legal fees probably > actual arrears.
It obvious no one cares about the supporters or the players.
Supporter of the Sky Blues, not SISU or ACL

I went to the hearing, SISU weren't even represented, so definitely not a surprise!

The fans will be the last consideration on ACL agenda too.

That one I disagree with. A normal private company yes but one owned by the council and a charity both organisation in place to look after the people of Coventry. I can't agree with you and am surprised that you are blinkered to that fact.

Fans are not even on SISU or ACLs agenda. SISUs latest stunt is probably just another distraction for ACLs team to consider. They are probably feeling battered & demoralised working through all that they can & at the same time in the back of their minds worrying about what SISU will do next. SISU will simply put their feet-up & enjoy the weekend knowing (or at least thinking) that they have tied stuff up in knots, & ACL do not have time to prepare their case properly for Tuesday.

I am not blinkered. Their primary aim is to secure income and remain a going concern like any business.

When ccfc asked for a rent reduction, plenty on here liked to point out that the majority of Coventry residents don't support ccfc.

We've averaged about 11k in the league. I would imagine at least a third live outside Coventry, so your talking 7-8k out of 320k Coventry residents.

Chester missed a few games when they were having problems ousting Stephen Vaughn (he makes SISU look good), they werent expelled. but the did get have to reform down at level 8'ish and do doiing very nicely comong back up as a fansa owned club!

0 attendance if we move away, will NEVER happen, too many happy clappers, not just at Cov, at every club, but the minortiy who want action must stand solid.

Don, even if ACl do have the fans at least somewhere on their list of priorities, it certainly doesn't feel like it from where we are.
The lack of dialogue from either side is frankly appalling. I'd have thought that the parties would have been clamouring to get the fans on their side, but it really does feel like nobody cares about us.

They have demonstrated a complete lack of interest over the years. The ground has been a benefit not a cost to them and yet the club has been the sole bearer of the mortgage. The arrangement was declared unworkable 3 months after the project started and the clubs concerns were ignored.

The whole debacle could have been avoided and should have been had the council shown some forethought as to likely actions by sisu.

Until know sisu have been financially profligate and incompetent. In a court room they will be less so. The council will have now bought the beast out of the hedge fund and they will be eaten alive.

They had nothing to gain from the court action. It was illogical vindictive and now regrettable.

I'm personally not bothered about refunds but there is no way I will ever watch the City play a home game outside of Coventry.

If it happens and it's a very big if, I would urge everyone to follow suit and stay away.

If we are now to move from the Ricoh these last 3 home games i dont think SISU will care what we do. Again if next season is away from Ricoh out of Coventry that is when we need to stand up & be counted & not buy home tickets/season tickets. The only way they will listen is to hit SISU's pocket. I dont want to see our club in a mess but if we are playing outside the city we are no longer Coventry City

Not top of their list might be more accurate.

Our statement should be this

Dear ACL,

Why were you such greedy bastards taking advantage of our club given the mismanagement of the previous regime?

When are you going to face up to the reality that the rent is ludicrously high and the licence agreement extortionate?

Yours sincerely
