The Cockney joker/wide boy has them scoffing pizza now on the bus on the way back. He's an 80s throwback in a professional game. No clue. Put him with poo-in-a-cup and you have what you get. SISU out, Thorn out, Harrison out...patience OUT!!!!!

There's no need to reduce the tone to immature abuse. Tempted to close this..

Immature abuse? He has no clue and they are eating pizza in the bus now. Ok, it's picky but there is no professionalism or care. Fatty is an adjective...is it misplaced!? He neither looks, acts or sounds like a manager. The board and him are making mugs out of the lot of us and everyone just stumbles in and out the Ricoh with barely a whisper. Know it's ingrained wearing down over the years but all the fight is gone. Ashamed and embarrassed by the lot of them. OUR club is dying a slow and painful death and we just go to mourn, don't fight for it. So angry right now and know nothing will be done by anyone. Just an unmitigated mess!

Yes we are all unhappy and but there is no need for that CCFC. Bang out of order.

Yes say you are unhappy the team is crap etc.

But picking on the managers physical attributes is taking things a little far!

What type of pizza? Domino's? Pizza Hut? What style? Deep Pan? Thin and Crispy? Stuffed Crust? These are the questions we must have answers to.

Ok, I apologise for the word 'fatty'. Despite that, every other thing stands. And his physique just does add to his overall persona as an outdated professional in sport.

We've been dying that long and painful death for quite some time now. It's not just SISU, think down the line of chairmen and owners that we've had that have screwed us over. I'm not defending SISU by all means.

I would imagine Tesco super saver white label, microwaved on the coach. Ker-Ching. Ha ha. Anyway, where do we go from here?!? Just cannot stand to see Thorn, SISU and Dulieu drift towards League One for six months but cannot see a thing changing.

I agree wholeheartedly, but would rather have allegedly dodgy Richardson gambling on some players and maybe ending up in admin or liquidation than doing absolutely nothing and ending up in the same place! What exactly is this 30m loan SISU gave anyway? Because if it is purely running costs they can't claim those need reimbursing!!!

That is exactly right! The problem is most fans can't see that. It was nice to cheer Hadji, Keane, etc but the writing was on the wall the moment players like that signed.

We were living on credit, robbing Peter to pay Paul and SISU were stupid enough to think they could turn it round. Their £30M hasn't made any difference and whoever else comes in will be in exactly the same position. Even if Hot Air came in tomorrow he and Mr Coventry wouldn't be able to change a bloody thing.

Shit ground, no fans, etc etc.

Depressing, but true.

Point being no change in manager is going to ensure a dramatic shift in the shooting on target ability of our players is it.??? The bloke is a renowned scout, probably nothing more than that. However after so many "managers" in so few years not one has managed to even get us into the top six thus leaving us in the unenviable position of being forced to sell players in order to just keep operating. Semi lions led by clowns as my mate a villa shit head put it.

I think you'll find a lot of teams grab pizza on the bus home, I've seen tweets from several players from several teams saying so. Robbie Savage said on Radio5 team nutritionists recommend pizza as a fast refuel food.

Also 'fatty'?? Name calling??

He doesn't deserve it regardless of results and PW needs to grow up.

They've eaten dominoes on the way back from games for years, standard practice for a dominoes delivery to be made as the coach gets loaded up with all the kit etc.

I don't necessarily agree with this but the guy op has hardly said anything bad. Its a playground level thread and only playground abuse and despite my disagreement it will fall off the bottom of the page (if idiots like me dont respond :) ) in its own natural time. Unless he's being totally offensive I think the closing threads by the internet police is even more of a crime (sorry nlhwc, normally like your stuff so no offence meant mate).

Torchy,

I have always respected your posts but find your constant name calling of Hoffman, as pretty childish, and petty.

I assume you know the man no better than I do, but as many reports from many sources have said he DID attempt to bring investors to the table to take the club off SISU's hands.

That being the case, does it make the man hot air? No.
All he has done is bring investors in that didnt offer our current sh*tty owners their money back and some more. Rightly or wrongly they rejected the approach, but this does not make Hoffman hot air.

He is after all a fan, like you and me, and perhaps may or may not be actively searching for investment, which may be a lot more than you or I could do, and reading comments such as yours he may turn round and think whats the f***ing point.

How does this make any sense? They're here to stay because they don't care?! Surely if they don't care then they're not here to stay.

Ridiculous thread anyway. What next? Bigi's getting Thomas, Christie and Ruffels round to look at his dads porn?!

The problem with that 30m is that it was drip fed in to cover ongoing losses. If the plan was to have £30m available and then get out, the way to have gambled would be to use it as a one season war chest. With £30m I reckon I could get us out of this league and collect the £90m riches from a season in the Premier League - in fact I would say it's better than a 3/1 shot that it achieves. If anything that they want their £30m back the best chance they would have is to spend £60m now and get out even with a £90m windfall, but they're too short-sighted to see it. YEs hindsight is a wonderful thing but this is easily achieveable imo and can't believe none of the rich will think it's worth a go.

I came online to find a thread titled "Fatty Thorn". It made me facepalm. I then shook my head, pondered briefly about just what the world is coming to and will now scutter off to try and find a thread titled a little more constructively.

Sad times.

YEah, you're probably right. It's just I tend to trust Hoffman as much as all the others, particularly after his "I won't walk away" comments.

I guess, after successive shitty regimes then I tend not to trust any of 'em. And, if I was Hoffman I probably would think "what's the fucking point" as the fans will no doubt be slagging me off before too long.

Thorn is a useless manager but commenting on physical attributes and his cockney image is hardly helpful. Harry Redknap is more of a Cockney joker than Thorn will ever be and he seems a pretty good manager. Not the best argument for his removal I'm afraid.

So "Fatty" is not a term of abuse? Very mature. You're judging the man on his physical condition? He doesn't "look" like a manager? I'm angry too but I don't go around lashing out at those who aren't responsible.

We are in a relegation battle and being ran into the ground by the owners. Of course peoples heads are down. If they walked around grinning like they were loving this, that'd make you even angrier!

I can think of a few managers who were not exactly grey hound shaped but were good.

Bob paisley RIP ??????????

It is unfair to call him a fatty irrespective of how good a manager he is. I do understand that you believe he is out of his depth, I think if he had more resources he could be very good and might just surprise a few people.

scoffing pizzas as you call it is what every team up and down the country do after the game or they have curries, they eats foods with high carbs into help restore energy levels. Some guy rang in 606 at the back end of last season moaning about his team that had took a heavy beating walking onto their coach eating pizza and chips and Savage said that every club he has been at do it. understand the frustration with the way the team are playing but in the sense of them eating pizzas and other junk food on the way home from away games is not any different to other teams

Let's be honest obviously Thorne can't manage himself let alone a football team he would make an excellent Santa tho.Ho Ho Ho.

If our budget is as usual they will be Lidl own brand pizzas and the cost will be deducted from players win bonus kitty as that hasnt exactly been raided this season.

As ever an eloquent reply. Putting it as you do, I can fully understand your views.....and I totally agree we have had a lot of shitty regimes!
