First game at the Ricoh.

I took my Dad to his first game as I had a spare ticket. Great night!

Getting 2 spare tickets for the 4-1 Villa away game the night before in the pub. Went there hoping for a draw and destroyed Vile that day. Coach back to Cov and a pint in every pub on the way back to Walsgrave Club, me and my mate greeted like heros from his dads mates who had been to Villa Park upteen times but had never seen a City win.
Of course! For example, mine would probably be us winning the FA Cup in 1987!!!

Apart from the obvious, and all of the Cup run, beating Sunderland at home 6-1, Villa away 4-1, one of my favorite memories is playing Wimbledon at Selhurst Park on Boxing day years ago.
It was empty, I think we outnumbered their fans (sadly something that happens to us now) and we had a huge terracing to run up and down going mental as we won 2-0. I think John Williams and Peter Ndlovu scored. Nothing more remarkable than one of the best laughs just for messing around, and obviously a win, that I can remember. Its bizarre I have been to many games home and away but this one always stands out for the laugh I had.
I also bizarrely remember being at Hillsborough one year after Sheffield Wenesday had bought Andy Pearce (terrible centre half) off us, and singing, "You bought Andy Perace, You Bought Andy Pearce, You Sad Bastards You Sad Bastards You Bought Andy Pearce" all game. Amused us during a drab 0-0.

League Cup Semi at Home v West Ham, won 3-2 having been 2 down, v Wolves in the middle of 51K fans, winning 3-1, who can ever forget Gibbo that day, brilliant, and of course the FA Cup

Forgetting 1987 going back a long time but the 2-1 victory over Sunderland in 1963 takes some beating with way over 50000 in the ground and our two goals coming in the last three minutes. Then there was the 1-0 win at Blackburn Rovers Easter 1967 which more or less confirmed promotion to the top flight and shortly after the 3-1 win over promotion rivals Wolves. Other than 1987 theres Not been that much to shout about although the 3-1 FA cup victory at Anfield was imo our best all round performance I ever witnessed.

Got the programme from the Blackburn game somewhere... I always remember the comment section where they said we hope today's result does not make Jimmy H(ill)... ha that will teach them.

What a night that was thousands of City fans there that night had the whole Kremlyn Road stand and half the Annie Road terrace and that's when it was standing not seats. Lot of aggro that night

City - 4, Spurs - 3 - Highfield Rd 1986 in the West End. Regis with a very late goal. Seems a very, very distant memory.

Yeah, took my girlfriend, now wife to that. She did say "are all games like that?". I couldn't lie to her.
Many great experiences for me, but for me, nothing can beat being at Wembley for the Final in 87. The semi-final at Hillsborough was ace too, although for nearly an hour it was the worst experience of my life. Even the Charity Shield was a good day with 50K of us there.
There have been many games that have been brilliant. I remember the Norwich 5-4, the Forest game in the League Cup, a 4-4 draw against Brum and the Preston game in the JPT last year.
As a City fan I’ve had the best of times and the worst of times….

The one memory of all the times going to Anfield for me was the Cup game when Molby scored a hat-trick of penalties. Mid week too.
Beating United 3-2 at HR '97, one of my earliest memories 2-1 down and seemingly out of it with 5 minutes left then Huckerby turned up! Winning the penaly and wagging his finger then scoring 3rd. Against the majority of players that went on to win the treble the following season.
Andy Whings goal against Derby in the final game at HR running the length of the West Terrace! A 6th goal in a landslide win is normally greeted with ironic tired cheers but the energy in the ground when he let fly was incredible!!

As I've been following the City since the Jimmy Hill era my best times were back then especially beating Wolves on the day we had our biggest ever gate.But witnessed many great performances from our teams and players over the years.Obviously the Cup Final was great,but the games to get there were memorable too.But the most favourite ever Sky Blue experience for me will be to see the back of our current owners,what a day that will be !!

The last match at HR was a pretty special day but I'd go for either the 5-4 against Forrest, 4-0 up and then they came back to 4-4 or the first win over Villa.
What about peoples worst? Besides obvious things I remember an dire home game against Wimbledon in terrible weather - at one point it was hailing so much it was difficult to keep watching and I seem to recall we lost to a late own goal.

Echo a few of the games listed above.....I was at the 4-1 triumph over Villa & the last HR outing thrashing Derby....
.and obviously there is whole 87 thing....
....but for me, one of my finest memories, not just of City, but of my childhood in general was this amazing day....

Always though that somebody should set up a "Sky Blues Experience" interactive tour.
Pay through the nose for it, start off on the top floor, open to the sun, slowly make your way down flights of stairs as it gets darker and more depressing, less and less people with you as you make your way down.
A sudden influx of people you've never seen before at the "Premier League Club at Home in the FA Cup" and "The Chance to get a ticket for Wembley for Shitty Cup Competition" exhibits who then disappear as soon as passed them.
Get to the basement and the exiit, walk out and find you're in fucking Northampton and no way to get home!

Huckerby seemingly beating the entire Manchester United defense to score the winner in the last few minutes. Have never seen the whole ground go so mental as that goal.
Villa away in the FA cup 1-0 Moldovan and our first ever win there. Somehow there was just such a huge buzz we just KNEW we were going to win before that game

Actually, one thing about the last game at HR. I've told this to my friends who were there but nobody seems to remember it.
The whole occasion of the day was a big celebration of the place we have been at for so long, a sharing of memories and ex-players, old faces and a great result. When the final whistle went, a young lad ran on the pitch and laid a wreath on the penalty spot in front of the west terrace, think it was only then that it sunk in we will never come here again and probably the first time I welled up at a game.
