Every week, we ask our Twitter and Facebook followers to come up with their own questions for Sky Blues leader Steven Pressley .

@jeffconquest asked: “Will Financial Fair Play allow us to keep funding our squad with the paltry income we’re making?”

Steven Presley replied: “Without doubt our budget will be cut again, although not considerably, and the only way we can get to a reasonable level of budget in this league is by the owner putting in equity.

“Realistically, if you were to take into account what we’re getting in terms of supporters at Sixfields, we would probably have to run with a Nuneaton budget because there is very little between the two clubs in terms of what we’re getting at a home gate.

"So the only way we can make that up is through equity being put in to subsidise the position.”

I am curious to know exactly what our budget has been for the last 12 months and what we have spent on players and wages. Judging by what we have actually signed in the last 12 months and if he is saying next season will be less, we are fucked!

If you google Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) then you get an idea of how it works. I suppose where we are protected (a little) is that if the owner has to put in equity it can only be done as a donation - not a loan.

We can talk about football. Personally it's all gone to shit since they sacked Eric Black.

Disagree, because being a Cov fan we know that success comes in small packages like football days at Blackburn, Man Utd or away days like Newcastle and Arsenal. As CCFC fans we have never been spoilt like the big boys but at least we could have good home days and good away days. Sisu are to blame for the HOME days. I suppose in a weird way you could say that at least Sisu/Otium have galvanised our away matches but to be honest we have always had a good time away from home. But saying that, should Sisu/Otium be proud that our away attendance at present outweighs our 'home' support?

I thought we were just trying to talk about the football?

Ian, it just isn't realistic to expect people to talk about just the football.
This mad Sisu situation just doesn't allow for that.
It's like we're in some weird parallel football universe, where all the normal rules don't apply.
Talking about how pleased we are that Callum Wilson has come good is fine, we'd all like to chat about that all day.
But it comes down to Sisu, the stadium, ACL, the Council. That all determines whether we'll have Callum or Fleck or anybody to talk about soon.
Wish it wasn't like this. We've gone a year and it's stalemate.
June 10 can't come quick enough.
Whether it will change things, I don't think any of us can guess at that.
If it doesn't it'll change the CCFC landscape for many I think.
If it does in a positive way we can all dance in the streets.
The fact that the fans have opted not to do anything on a major scale, last summer's march excepted, is down to them alone.
Do nothing and nothing happens. We've let Sisu dictate.
We should all be looking forward to seeing City v Swindon this afternoon. It's a crime that 90+% of us fans won't be watching our team.
Today it might have been 16,000/18,000 being a holiday. Just look at the money Sisu are losing.

I did if you read it again. Started by talking about footballing days as above, just gave the reasons why we cannot watch 'home' FOOTBALL matches anymore, that's all. However, my guess is that you wouldn't have picked up on that because you weren't at any of those games, or were you? Anyway, had enough of this today, I'm off for a round of golf and a nice chilled pint in the clubhouse for afters.

Pressley: '...the only way we can get to a reasonable level of budget in this league is by the owner putting in equity.'

Am I the only one who cringes when I hear the words 'the owner'.

Who is 'the owner'? It can't be a single person - according to SISU no individual owns more then 10% of the club.

Could someone enlighten me?

So am I right in reading that as our budget is entirely dependent on what Sisu decide to put in as equity? But he believes it'll be similar to, though smaller than, this year?

Considering Clarke will have been on a bit (probably being used for one or two of the loanees, the Fonz won't be cheap) and we'll lose Moussa, Christie and probably Barton as well. Maybe Murphy, or at least get him on a cheaper deal.

Of course, if we sell Wilson for £3m, that's £2m for wages already

If you take away the other painful discussion points I.e. Our owners; moving the club to Northampton; alienating the customer base; lack of investment; owners not knowing anything about football; lack of investment in the squad; .......

then we will have no choice but to talk about football and on-pitch performances. Let's keep dreaming.
