We’ve struggled with consistency over the years but maybe this season we’ve found something to build on.
Our record against the three teams relegated from the prem is:
Played 6 Won 4 Drew 1 Lost 1
scored 12 against 4

Against the three relegated teams:
Played 6 Won 4 Drew 1 Lost 1
Scored 10 against 4

Conversely as good as those stats are, if we'd beaten more of the teams around us instead we'd have taken more off those and they'd have had less of us we'd have actually been doing better. Ultimately I guess we need to aim for a set no of points and 74 usually gets you there regardless of who they come against. Hopefully next season.

Deleted - forgot it was sheff utd that came down, and Bournemouth was the season before

It is indeed P6 W3 D2 L1 against prem relegated teams and relegated teams.

Small margins. A bit more consistency required and will come with better cover/bigger squad.

normally agree, but League 1 this season crazily 83 may not be enough for 1 team
Down to Portsmouth in 9th who already have 73 (which would usually be enough)and are miles adrift

We also scored a fair bit towards the end of games. We have to aim for solid leads next season opposed to these last minute winners no matter how bloody good they feel.

And not conceding first so often. Some exciting comebacks bit can't always get away with it and so many teams waste time.
