I like a lot of our marketing team, but two things always piss me off in these videos:

No sound on the intro so you can’t get the volume right before the interview starts (and it feels weird)

The interviewer seems to just ask the most repetitive and inane questions. Essentially “you ready to go?” about five time here.

Why Coventry? Classic question...

Lovely city... cathedral to spare. No fucking ground and i didn’t realise Warwick University was in Coventry. Gaffer sold the club to me and thanks for overpaying me and my agent.

These interviews are ridiculously bland. Although to be fair, at least he didn't ask the exact same question in five different ways like he usually does. As schmmeee said, the marketing team do a grand job usually, and this always feels like a massive fail and a missed opportunity to connect new players to the fan base. I'm sure the interviewer is a nice chap and his colleagues don't want to upset him, but I'm not convinced he's cut out for this interviewing lark. His repartee is:

'Do you like kicking a ball?'
'Why do you want to kick a ball in Coventry?'
'What type of ball kicker are you?'
'What can fans of ball kicking expect to see?'
'Are you looking forward to kicking a ball next week?'

I’m afraid I couldn’t understand a word of what the interviewer said -was he from WM or something - but Matty was pretty clear - as many of our team , they speak pretty well and seem pretty switched on

Off the top of my head:

- What made you choose Coventry
- What do you know about us already?
- Whats your first impression of the team?
- What do you bring to the team?
- What positions can you play?
- What will you bring to the dressing room?
- What will your teams mates hate about you in the dressing room (habits/dress sense/music)
- Did you know anyone in the squad before signing?
- What song did you sing for initiation?

Just anything more than “you ready to go yeah?”
