Looking at the possibility of a first team of
------------Murphy---------------
Clarke----Keogh--Wood----Hussey
---------Jennings/Kilbane---------
---Baker------------McSheffery---
-------------Fleck----------------
-------McDonald----Elliott---------
with a spine of McDonald, Fleck, Keogh and Murphy we surely have one of the best sides, if not the best in the league? Obviously, it's possible that Jennings and Keogh won't be part of the team but even with Willis/Cameron at CB we'd still have a very strong team for this division. Sure, we have a very young base to the team but so do most of the teams in the league and with the team assembling and the comments coming for Thorn I'm starting to feel like we can definitely do something this season. Looking forward to December and being bitterly disappointed but oh well. PUSB.
Easy fella, you'll be getting all sorts of grief for using the word "great" in the same sentence as "David Bell"...luckily the number one Bell Hater(s?) seems oddly quiet this week :thinking about:
I'm not a Bell hater, but this whole they're going to be great in this league business is load of tosh.
We don't know how they are going to fair, and it doesn't matter what someone did 2-3+ years ago, it's what they do this season that counts.
To have any chance of a top 6 finish players are going to be have to be performing 7-8's out of 10 week in week out. At the higher level player like sheffers, bell, baker, clingan were performing 4-5 out of 10 most weeks, even lower on some occasions. The biggest question is have they got the right mentality to consistently assert themselves week in week out? They have shown us very little consistently or mental strength in the past.

But winning more than you lose doesn't guarantee anything bar maybe a top half finish. Huddersfield were a superb-not just decent-L1 team who broke the record for games unbeaten in this division, and still only sneaked up last season in the playoffs after 3 years constant steady investment. That's the benchmark, at least. We're miles off that, nevermind the squad Charlton had last year.
With our current team, I'm sure keogh will be gone unfortunetly. I think Jennings, another striker and that other cb trialist would be required for us to have the depth to have a real go

There appears to be a slight degree of strength in depth building up.
I'm not sure Jordan Clarke will finish the season a Sky Blue, that is the hard reality.
