Tram mate, there is a stop in fleetwood less than 5 mins from ground. You can get a 24 hr pass, which works out cheap especially if you use the trams during the days you are there.
Depends where you get on in Blackpool, we were near the Pleasure Beach, took 30-45 mins to get to fleetwood, but nice and easy just sit down a relax and wave at the chavs!!
We got the tram last year. Some comical signing on the way back. Some lass who'd possibly had one too many and owned quite a high pitched voice joining in in her own little way
Was packed on the way back from the game so tickets weren't checked (not encouraging not getting a ticket here btw ). Tickets guys knew they didn't have a chance of getting through to check them!
Fair price too. As mentioned above, you get a 24 hour ticket too, so let's say you dont buy one until 1pm Saturday, it won't wxpire til 1pm Sunday (if you needed to use it first thing Sunday like getting to the train station etc or want to go on the sea front before you leave etc)
I'm going myself too, managed to convince the mrs to have a day at Blackpool see the lights. She can go in the tower, sealife centre... I'll nip off the fleetwood with the lad. Lovely jubbly!!
Undecided with the tram idea or just drive.
