He clearly had his back turned and was moving away from the free kick. if you're chap had just side footed it passed him, or wait to take the kick, rather than deliberately belting it at him there wouldn't have been an issue. Even the commentators on Sky, who were very one sided given that of the 4 people used 2 were ex Bradford players, were saying it was an unbelievable booking from the ref.

There's no doubt Wilson was trying to slow the game down, but I've also seen far worse go unpunished. I don't think it would have been an issue had the ball not been belted at him, mind.

Also, no, Dynamo cannot predict football results. No-one can.

I agree that he was moving away but he certainly wasn't running and he was deliberately in the line of the free kick and attempting to slow it down/stop it being taken. Of course our lad could have waited to take the free kick but why should he have to? Causing time to be wasted is also a yellow card offence.

Anyway I'll happily swap you the debatable yellow card your fella got for the two red cards that could potentially have been dished out

That's impossible for the ref to give as Flecks body stops him seeing if there's any contact on the ball and even after a couple of replays I'm not sure it's any more stonewall then the one where Meredith stumbled in your box. Might not have happened if you only had 9 men anyway!

Was that Meredith incident the one where your player stumbled in the penalty area after standing on the defender's foot?

He's right though we should have had 2 sent off. Bakers lunge also could have been a penalty.

The referee had a shocking game. The last minute penalty was the one big decision he got right.

People seem to be getting very heated but reality is we had enough chances to win the game bit never ever looked safe gave far too many free kicks away and were very lucky with an outrageous hand ball by Webster and a studs high lunge by Adams.

Yep, probably not a penalty in truth but if he goes down I've seen them given. By the same token I wasn't 100% sure the Fleck one was a penalty either and the refs position makes it almost impossible for him to give as he's guessing about what sort of contact was made to the ball or man.

Flecks was a penalty - the player had to go through him to get any of the ball and the referee had a good view.

I was sat almost behind the ref so I had the same line of site as him and in all honesty you couldn't tell what had happened to the ball. He didn't go through him as they were almost side by side but he did dangle a foot there and I wouldn't have had any massive complaints had it been given. The referee would genuinely have been guessing though.

Bradford fan here.

Both teams were excellent going forward yesterday but defended so atrociously that neither could lay genuine claims for all three points.

Pressley was quick to praise your lads in his post match interview and from an attacking display, you were pretty brutal. Leon Clarke looks one of the best in the division, the scoring charts already told us that Wilson would also be a handful. Personally, I was impressed with the number 14 (Moussa?) though who looked a constant danger. All in all, neat play and slick movement, it's no wonder you are one of the highest scorers in the division.

However, I can't help thinking that some of Pressley's petulance in the interview (Parkinson said naughty things to me but I can't repeat them ner ner ner etc) stemmed from his frustration about your defending.

He said the ref decision cost you the win but went on to say he'd need to see the pen incident again...so if he's not seen it how does he know its cost you the game? If it was a legitimate pen then Wells have every right to take the pen to try level the game - which he did. The defending on our first goal was also poor, one of your lads took a comical air shot and the keeper won't be best pleased with his effort.

There were dubious ref decisions both ways I thought. Wells looked marginally offside for this second, one of yours was touch and go too.

Either way it was a superb game of football and one that we won't forget in a hurry.

What led me to sign up to your forum though was Pressley's comments after the game about our style being from the dark ages. That just isn't very sportsmanlike to say at all and I don't think he has any right to criticise tactics which got us promoted last season and slayed Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa over two legs.

We're a newly promoted side and have one of the best target men in the division in James Hanson, naturally we are going to favour the long ball and play to our strengths because Hanson is such a dominant force in the air. We have a team, most of whom have come up from L2. If we had your squad and players do you think we'd still play route 1 as much as we do? I don't, but I know Hanson is an absolute menace, and most weeks the opposition manager comes off an singles him out for a mention. We don't have a player like your number 14 - we have a static central midfield, and rely on breaks from Kyel Reid (left wing, who was actually heavily involved, which seemed to escape Pressley's attention) and, primarily, getting Wells in behind defences, which is often the result of a flick from Hanson, who has the measure of most centre halves he comes up against.

It is almost like Pressley is speaking like he's some sort of missionary - he's been sent down from Scotland on a mission to eradicate long ball football from British football but Parkinson isn't a manager he's managed to get to! Give it a rest Pressley, and get looking over that Shambolic defending. Did he not see Stoke survive in the Prem year on year under Pulis?

Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season. I thought you brought a decent away following today given the game was on Sky and it was a decent atmosphere at the game. It was action packed, and while I've lost some respect for Pressley for the way he's moaned and whined after the game, I still appreciated the quality of your attacking play and expect to see you finish in the top six if the defensive issues can be addressed.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

I thought it was a really entertaining game and even at 2-0 Bradford were still in it. They looked good in the air in our penalty area, Reid a threat wide on the break.

I just though we were going to hang on and then the penalty!

I am not taking anything away from Bradford, but from our perspective we gifted them their first two goals.

It was a stupid reckless challenge by a player on the edge of his nerves. As clear a foul as you will ever see, occurred in the penalty box = penalty. I have no idea why the ref didn't give it, it was like time stood still! Maybe he evened it up with the handball later?

All the Wells publicity compared to lack of, for Hanson, amazes me. Yep, Wells will get goals at a higher level, but together they are unplayable, I don't know why a large middle ranking Championship club doesn't just buy both of them, job sorted! Arsenal's and Villa's CB's handled him just about as well as your lads did.

That's an important point. Together they're unplayable but individually would be less useful I feel. The classic big / little man partnership.

For the first goal Murphy's positioning was woeful, should have been an easy take as a punt dropped over the back four.

The second he went walk about outside the area trying to win headers he couldn't and left us without a goalkeeper, then Clarke just didn't deal with a bouncing ball, finally Adams had a chance to block on the line but rather than just standing tall made a stupid lunge.

These chances still have to be put in the net, but let's face it, it was Sunday League defending rather than class striking with those two goals.

But Murphy made an incredible save from a header and was well beaten by a free kick that hit the bar. Over all I'm not grumbling about the score line or result even if I did think we had just done enough to hang on.

I wouldn't mind Reid in our line up based on that performance.

Think Reid is out of contract soon, there have always been issues with him being Oop north, think his wife & kid are in London.

Wells has more than enough quality to cut it alone. Obviously with the ariel game being deployed it didn't show.

Ironic really, 'cos versus Wolves when he came on he caused them issues and we had a lot of possession but little threat- Reid should have had a late penalty too.

Maybe if more balls were launched in scoreline would have been similar cause Wolves also shut up shop 2nd half. Not to mention Hanson had some great flick-ons at 1-0 Wells finishes.

Well that's classic Reid! Had an excellent game v Preston and awol for past month.

Far too mercurial. Hines the better player imo. Yeates' class shone through yesterday. Should have been on earlier.
