Maybe a few more but not substantial. I’m sure even the Leeds game about 2010 when we had 28k with 6k Leeds fans they had to put an offer on
There was no offer that day
Coventry City have announced that they are putting on sale family tickets for the City versus Leeds game on Saturday November 6th.
The family ticket applies to two adults and two children and costs £45.
Any families interested in this offer have until 10/10/10 to get their tickets which are only available via the phone or by visiting one of the two ticket offices at the Ricoh Arena or City Central in Town.
Don’t be too confident about the walk up either
2011/2012 we had 9,600 season ticket holders, and I’d say we had an average of 2.5k away fans.
We only averaged 15k meaning that there was minuscule walkup, hardly any for some matches.
Walkups are generated by something worth watching, so they’ll climb on board after a few games if we do ok
The number of season tickets gives you a guaranteed minimum, it’s what happens on the pitch that gets the crowds up beyond that
The flipside to that, in 2005/6 and 2006/7 we had just under 10K season ticket holders yet averaged 21K and 20K.
Cannot see an average of 2.5K away fans across the season also, in 2019/20, only 2 clubs in the entire championship averaged more than 2.5K (Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday). They'll be plenty of teams who bring sub 1K this season.
2011/12 was the finale of several dogshit seasons .. can't take too much away from attendances that year ..apart from they were dire because we'd been dire for years and we finally got relegated
Looks like the 10K season tickets sold with very few additional.....im sure it will fill up
10-12K at a guess
Be prepared to be disappointed thenTo be honest I will be disappointed if we don't hit 20k city fans let alone with forest included......

Be surprised if we have 20k of our fans anytime this season, well at full price anyway
Sky tv £30 etc, No being able to attend live football for so long and being back in cov for the first game of the season, If we can't muster 20k city fans it's embarrassing no two ways about it.

Come on you can't compare a league one fixture under mowbray to a opening day fixture in the championship a first for the club in what eight years? After playing away from the city for two seasons and with covid stopping fans attending......I disagree, how many times have we had 20k home fans at full price in the last 20 years? Even under Mowbray when we were flying playing great football we had 15k

Agreed. We were generally getting around 16 tp 18k home fans in the late 90s, not sure why people expect better than thatCCFC have very rarely had 20k home fans at full price in my time following them, the Gillingham and Crewe games makes people’s expectations unrealistic, the truth is half of them wouldn’t have been there if it wasn’t £5

In the latter years at HR that was impossible, the home capacity was only 18,500.
At the Ricoh, between 2005 and 2012, I'd say only 15-20 times 20K+ home fans. After relegation it was never going to happen outside of special occasions.
Someone else mentioned it earlier in the thread but fuck me behind the goal is barren.
Doesnt seem like hardly any tickets been sold for the forest game bar ST's.
I dont think we will hit 20k city fans. Really think the Wolves friendly knocked a few hundred off
We were never going to get 20k cov fans in there at full price with the match on TV on a Sunday, never going to happen.
I don't see what the Wolves game has to do with it?
Why would the Wolves friendly reduce the Forest attendance? No comprendez.Someone else mentioned it earlier in the thread but fuck me behind the goal is barren.

Just takes the shine off Sunday lets be honest

I doubt it will have made any difference whatsoever, it was a meaningless friendly, what were people expecting?
