Yeah, thing is with Leicester though is that they think they are always right... if they are doing poorly and we are doing good all they can do is harp on about attendances. Didn't Blackpool have 2nd worst attendances last season? The fact our game was on tele and as Derby have to actually pay for away tickets (as their home ones seem to generally be free) they didn't exactly bring a decent following to boost the attendance considering they are so close to us. Also worth mentioning is the Wigan v Chelsea game which was also on tele, the attendance for that game was 14,476 and that was boosted by a sell out in the away end by Chelsea fans. We're not that bad after all
Over 13,000 in the championship is a respectable attendance. I'd like to see how many McBoro pull in today after all the spending they've done because their attendances shot right down at the end of last season. We got over 18,800 for the first game and Leicester got 21,500 and considering that Leicestershire holds 50,000 more people than Coventry it's nothing to shout about
They also laughed when we had 6,000 v Hartlepool at home last season but they got exactly that for their memorable win against Macclesfield this season, well I only say memorable because it's going to be a rare win for them this season
All I'm saying is we shouldn't be bothered what people say about our attendances especially seeing as the mighty Leicester isn't much better when you look at the facts - aslong as the 13-18,000 odd fans who turn up every game are rewarded with 3 points and are sent home happy it shouldn't matter to them and hopefully the disillusioned fans might start to come back.
