On my way home from work, on the bus, I noticed 6-7 young lads with a Leicester City string bag. Now I understand there will be a few Leicester fans who live in Coventry because of the proximity of the two cities but not 7 young mates. I asked them 'Are you Leicester fans?', purely because it was bizzare seeing so many. What they told me was shocking - they said Leicester City had come into their school with a first team player, a student won a signed top from all the players, they all got given Leicester City bags and had been given a cheap ticket deal for Leicester v Watford with FREE transport. I asked if CCFC had ever done anything of this sort and no was the answer, not as far as they know. It seems Leicester are now targeting Coventry to increase their support, with the draw of top flight football and a winning team. It simply isn't on, why are CCFC staff\players non existent in Coventry schools? Does anyone have the email for our 'marketing' department? SISU\CCFC complain about crowds not being at the level they should but do nothing about it with the young ones. Leicester have acted and are taking away future support. Sort it out CCFC!
Sbitc is great
Out of interest do CCFC ever go to Leicester or Birmingham schools? Or even Warwickshire schools for that matter? Never heard of them at my daughter's schools in Rugby.
My sister and brother-in-law live in Leicestershire and he is a Leicester Tigers Rugby fan.The football team is doing well but over the years it's been the rugby club with the large fan base. But don't worry Leicester don't need to lure Cov kids into their fan base for either codes, and if we have a good season the Ricoh will have loads of kids wearing Sky Blue !
Yes kids today are no different than kids from any decade. The big clubs will always attract young fans, but if their local club is doing well some will start to go along to watch. My dad took me to Highfield Road when I was a young lad but it was the Jimmy Hill era so why would I support any other club ? I had heroes wearing Sky Blue !I think that's been the problem for years. Kids need to see results to be engaged especially the younger they are. All kid's are bad losers it's as simple as that so following a premier league team who's mentioned in the media for the right reasons is an obvious solution for them.

Serious question, but is there a specific place where they detail *what* they do? I know they do *some* things, but the profile and communication about *what* often seems to disappear, so it often seems like they do nowt whatsoever.
Just to clear something up, was it 6 or 7 lads and 1bag ?On my way home from work, on the bus, I noticed 6-7 young lads with a Leicester City string bag. Bit weird chatting up 7 schoolboys on the bus.
Those who are banned from driving or there ex missus has financially cleaned them out. Fucking bitch !Yeah that's what I thought.
Then I thought who in Coventry actually travels on a bus - probably someone who chats up schoolboys.
Getting their 6 fingers into some new pies.

CCFC have done ticket offers for schools quite consistently for the last few years, but we'd not be able to offer free transport or throw the resources at it like a Premiership club can - same goes for what Wasps do. We're a League One club unfortunately. http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-for-schools-1415-coventry-city-221014-2033382.aspx
