He divulged what got him sent off against Burnley, everyone was asked to put their phones away at that point thoughAny comments of interest?
And that Kitch was banging on his door asking why he couldn't get a game before Xmas - But said it was in a positive way as opposed to kicking up a fuss and a strop and he really respected him for it and he hasn't let him down sinceAny comments of interest?
Is that cause he had to go to BedworthI've heard he's just handed in his notice
The jock estate presumablyHouse hunting?
Sheaf stripped of the captaincy and or sold??And that Kitch was banging on his door asking why he couldn't get a game before Xmas - But said it was in a positive way as opposed to kicking up a fuss and a strop and he really respected him for it and he hasn't let him down since
I would also hedge your bets on Grimes being our captain next season he absolutely loves him
Sheaf is almost certainly going to be sold. He'll be in the last year of his contract, and was rumoured to be wanting to leave last summer.Sheaf stripped of the captaincy and or sold??
Said this when he came in, he's the obvious choice as one of only a handful of players who won't often be rotated out of the squad.I would also hedge your bets on Grimes being our captain next season he absolutely loves him
Trouble is I think the options of how he could go to will be severely limited and the price much lower than we'd normally want/expect.Sheaf is almost certainly going to be sold. He'll be in the last year of his contract, and was rumoured to be wanting to leave last summer.
With his injury record this season, we probably can't even afford to offer him a decent contract, he's 27, so we'll try to get as much as we can for him.
We have a year option on him, which I suspect we will enforce so he could yet stay.Sheaf is almost certainly going to be sold. He'll be in the last year of his contract, and was rumoured to be wanting to leave last summer.

Why was he sent off
Yeah, he's definitely gone down in value since last summer. But it may still be the last chance age-wise to get a reasonable return for him.Trouble is I think the options of how he could go to will be severely limited and the price much lower than we'd normally want/expect.
Supposedly last year he only attracted interest from Southampton and Luton, and this year he's been injured a lot and not exactly dominating games when he has played.
Did not know about the option, that changes the dynamic slightly in our favour. We have a year option on him, which I suspect we will enforce so he could yet stay.
Suspect hes earmarked to go as we will need money to do stuff with squad.
If we do get that £5-£8m (will is just about possible) the next issue is whether Sheaf would want to accept going to the team offering that. Last year he supposedly wasn't interested in talking to Luton (smart move in the end) and I can't see a Prem team coming in for him.Yeah, he's definitely gone down in value since last summer. Last summer we would have been holding out for between the 8m - 12m - if there's any truth in the rumours.
This summer we'd probably be hoping to get 5m-8m due to his injury record, if there's any takers. Which is still a reasonable amount of money for a 27 year old, and better than losing him for nothing or letting his value disintegrate with age/injuries.
I think the highest we would get is 5 and I imagine that's only with add ons. I'd take 3 outright based on age, contract and potential to make us better. That doesn't leave many options for teams that would be considered better placed than us in the Championship that could pay him a significant amount more than us.
If we do have that extra year (I thought that extra year was for next season but maybe not) then it may well be better for us to take the risk and keep him, hoping he can steer clear of injuries and get back to his best.
Yeah, I think that could be the worst case scenario - we try and sell him but he doesn't want to go, so he runs his contract down. Although I think he might still be on his original contract with us, so maybe not on the sort of wage he should now be on.If we do get that £5-£8m (will is just about possible) the next issue is whether Sheaf would want to accept going to the team offering that. I guess you think that’s rib tickling funny? Is that cause he had to go to Bedworth
As apposed to the luxurious upper class area of Coventry. As much as I love ccfc Coventry is a shit holeTrHI guess you think that’s rib tickling funny?
He signed a new contract in 2023, when his previous contract had 1 year left, if i remember correctly.Although I think he might still be on his original contract with us, so maybe not on the sort of wage he should now be on.
Ah yeah, I think you're right. Think it was after the playoff final. He'll be on decent money then. Unless relegated side or newly promoted sign him as back up, he'll unlikely get a better offer elsewhere after the season he's had.He signed a new contract in 2023, when his previous contract had 1 year left, if i remember correctly.
It stands to reason he would have been offered improved terms, as at the time he was considered one of our better players.
