I’m convinced that’s what’s happening - no way Doug arranges a fans forum without having something to soften the blow2/5 now.
It wouldn't surprise me if Doug unveils him tomorrow before or at the presser.
It changes the dynamics of the supporters forum away from constant anger to questions towards Lampard.
I assume if he does take over and achieves promotion then you are happy to confirm you are wrong and you will leave the forum?
I really hope it's not him.
Having had time to think about it my preferred choice would be the Wycombe fella.
I don't think appointing Lampard softens the blow. Makes it worse imho.I’m convinced that’s what’s happening - no way Doug arranges a fans forum without having something to soften the blow
Does he have the gravitas for this set of players though? Non loaded question
Yeah, especially on his new hair, as to how's Christine doing and whether he will finally admit that him and Gerrard together in the same England lineup, never worked.2/5 now.

Who mentioned the sacking? The extremism is fans foaming at the mouth saying lampard would be a disaster when his record to date isn't bad at allmore SBT extremism.
Lampard isn’t even anything to do with the view that it was wrong to sack Robins. It’s very feasible to hold the view he should have stayed and still want the new manager to do well.
The first act and most recent act make him seem quite impulsive, not a great trait

Well my missus met him & his wife, and said they were very kind, chatted away for ages, and has the photo to prove it- so at least for the first time ever she has an interest in anything related to CCFC, which will make my life a bit easier each weekend
I didn't tell him to. If you could read properly I asked him if he would be. A question not a statement.Extremism is you telling people they should leave the forum if he does well.
I think Doug will have needed to invest in Jan anyways but definitely will now, midfield depth looks very bare when Sheaf and Eccles are out
Was this in the distant past, or this weekend at Tescos arena while Frank was getting his meal deal?
Lampard is a useless c**t. Great player, shite manager.
Anyone welcoming this appointment is,a fucking balloon.
He was at the CBS yesterday apparentlyis there anything concrete we’re actually after him? Or is this driven from purely market odds?
Were the lights on ?

Well that's it really isn't it. I think I, along with many others, don't think he's the right fit.Id have no issue with Lampard being appointed. Always talks well, bright, hungry, articulate. I remember reading over the summer that when doing euros coverage how he really impressed other pundits with his analysis etc.
Gary Lineker and Micah Richards name shock England icon as potential Southgate replacement
Lineker: 🗣️ ‘I think players would respect him immensely.’ He definitely wouldn't be everyone's first choice 😬www.givemesport.com
Whether he’s the right fit for us, who knows, but if he is appointed he deserves the fans backing and some time to get the team sorted (another gelling period)
Or, he is revealed from behind the curtain at the end of the evening, after fans have been scratching their heads all night, wondering whose shoes have been sticking out from the bottom.I just cannot fathom in anyway that Lampard will be at the presser tomorrow. King is feeding himself to the wolves albeit in a very controlled manner. Taking Lampard or any other potential manager into that environment to introduce him to the fans would be nonsensical. Would put Lampard on the back foot immediately.
If it were me I would front up tomorrow, answer questions, let it be digested for a few days and look to announce the new manager later in the week or early next week.
Brilliant let’s get lampard in because he’s a good pundit. Might as well try Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher too

You and other members of this forum aren't appointing a new manager.Well that's it really isn't it. I think I, along with many others, don't think he's the right fit.
