Premier League 2019-20 review: our predictions versus reality
He achieved par at both derby and Chelsea
Are we the only club daft enough to actually give him a job so he's forced to accept itHe’ll have my backing if it’s him, but I have to confess that it cheapens the whole thing if we’re his second choice and he was looking for other jobs too. That might be assumption and presumption, I hold my hands up, but it’s just another way that we no longer have stability and we’re more of a ‘normal’ club, as opposed to being a club where the manager had almost started to feel like “one of us”.
Yeah, better look out for a big bet from someone called Christine, with a strong Northern Irish accent
Sounds exactly like the stunt King would pullAh the waiting is the worst. Just get it over with. Do we reckon he’ll unveil literally at the CWR thing?
Which isn’t a bad thing if you finish par. As things stand, we’re well under-par.The 4th finish was par. His work at Derby given his squad was par

There’s not much difference between Boateng and Keane in terms of experience really. I don’t know how anyone in our shoes could make a solid assessment about either of their abilities as a coach.Couldn’t care less whether they played for us, I think Boateng is a crap coach.

The reality for me is , of the serious candidates and not Moyes / Southgate and alike , if I have to go with one now it probably is Lampard purely because of the term head coach and what our players could take from him . Wycombe manager I don’t know anything about but based on results would be my second choice
Based on what, though?
Did he get sacked by Vill u23’s?His record. Getting sacked by Villa U23s and would only have got the job as he’s an ex player, then underperformed with Ghana, then to us with a noob owner hiring people based on interviews it seems.

Which would be remarkable considering the club statement said "will take its time to appoint a successor to Mark"Ah the waiting is the worst. Just get it over with. Do we reckon he’ll unveil literally at the CWR thing?
Yes he was as good that season, but the ways being talked about is he guided a mid table mediocre side to the dizzy heights of 4th place. That's a bloody good squad, and they brought Kovavic in for £40m before the embargo was placed on them.
All signs pointing to it being Lampard and odds slashed again, still don't think it'll be him though
Sort of. It's more akin to us winning a booby prize and we get to choose from the least worst of what's left. Are we all starting to warm to the idea of it being Lampard now?
I'm not sure we'd get away with taking them hostage. My pick would be David Moyes or Graham Potter tbf but not heard these name being mentioned too often.
As time goes on it’s looking more like it could be lampard

No , still think he would be a disasterAre we all starting to warm to the idea of it being Lampard now?
YesSlightly off-topic… was Simms playing at Everton when Lampard was there?
It's way more complex than thatDo they though?
I suspect on these markets they rake it in by just putting up a list of former players, champo managers recently out of a job and one of Rooney/Lampard/Gerrard, then just slash the odds on anyone that actually gets backed in case they are in the running.
They havent been mentioned because there is no chance they come hereMy pick would be David Moyes or Graham Potter tbf but not heard these name being mentioned too often.

I cant find too much on lampard speaking about his tacticsI just think the club and country you were at aren’t a great recommendation. One thing if you’re Viveash or someone who has been there years, but generally if you keep leaving jobs after 12-18 months with no real success to speak of I’ve got questions.
They improveSo what happens if ManUtd release Rud van Nistelroy?
