Think the big difference is the change of approach with the players.
I think they both tactically play the game quite similarly. However based on Eccles at Bedworth’s supporters club meeting, it seems Lampard is alot more personal with the lads and as such has got better individual form out of them (Dovin and Simms being a big two).
I think Adi was doing a lot more of that work previously (not a issue as the set up required more of Robins time for other matters like transfers for example) and when he went, they couldn’t fill that gap.
He should be judged whatever happens this season and not just if we go up.
When Lampard took over in November we were 17th and just 2 points out of the bottom 3. We're still only in February and just 1 point out of the playoffs. Most of our games were against top half sides. He has done an amazing job. We're second only to Leeds in the last 6 and last 10 form tables and the last 10 didn't start that well.
Good overview and lovely details on individual players. It is jarring that he is talking about Rudoni being a LWB when he’s not played there since the Robins days!
He’s completely missed that we’ve already transitioned back to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 rather than 5-3-2.
Lampard v Robins comparison , one guy has had a good effect against someone who was manager for 8 years. Lampard has some well ,if you look at his managerial record he tends to be a good impact manager for a season. The test in a way will come next season .
