Longstaff hasn't played since doing his ACL. Not going to be ready to do anything this season/Still seeing comments about whether our transfer window was a positive period for the club or whether it had demolished any chances of playoffs.
But don't we still have access to free agents ? Been through the list on Transfermrkt and there are some decent players on there that are within our budget and skill set needs, at least for 6 month contracts to see us through.
Three I've seen today that may be worth pursuing :
CM- Matty Longstaff - age 23 - Ex Newcastle
CM- Josh Onomah - age 26 - ex Spurs and Preston
LW/CM - Ovie Ejaria - age 26 - ex Liverpool and Reading

I’d look at a goalkeeper though but they can be expensive wage wiseFree agents are free agents for a reason
Most would need a couple of months to get match fit.
Why? If there free agents they are not earning any money no different to any other free agent player.I’d look at a goalkeeper though but they can be expensive wage wise
Why would we want 4 senior goalkeepers?I’d look at a goalkeeper though but they can be expensive wage wise
Watching Saturdays highlites again he could have come for that cross and just a finger tip would have altered the flight of the ball & where it landed, we are relying too much on heading crosses out and hoping to get to the loose ball first.Collins never ever catches a ball, we have been lucky the ball has gone to our playeso far after he has parried it

O'Hare wasn't a free agent in February though. Big differenceThat's over-simplifying the situation dramatically.
Cal was a free agent when he came here. And he'll be a free agent again at the end of the season.
Ejaria was released by Reading by mutual consent. Club said it was down to limited first team outings and their financial problems.

True but I was reading an article about him yesterday that said he's still training with the Newcastle first team and they are actively getting him up to speed to help him secure a contract. He would undoubtedly be lacking in match sharpness but he should be generally fit and not too far off. All that said I still don't imagine we are interested.Longstaff hasn't played since doing his ACL. Not going to be ready to do anything this season/
He's not played for about 13 months, he isn't going to be ready to play anytime this season. Plus he was at the time only doing OK in league 2.True but I was reading an article about him yesterday that said he's still training with the Newcastle first team and they are actively getting him up to speed to help him secure a contract. Carl Baker ?
Jakubu?Who was the last genuine mid-season free agent we signed?

Lee Camp I'd imagine.Who was the last genuine mid-season free agent we signed?
