Your opinion is valued- do you have data to support that these are to ball boys or are you speculating?

Well several people have said it - the letter was a response to a request - the op has done a runner.

Put it this way seems more evidence to suggest it than the comment "I know two people in Northampton got free tickets" yet strangely those posters never have to prove their claims. How odd.

Still not actually data driven confirmation though is it?

Not really no.

Can anybody on this forum say for certain that the letter at the start of this thread was to a ballboy?

I am not saying there is any conspiracy going on with free tickets being given out, but to claim all complimentary tickets given out are to ball boys is another example of OPINION PRESENTED AS FACT.

I would have thought a sensible poster such as Nick would have known better to be honest.

If it is not an conspiracy theory why do you find it hard to believe one posters version of events, sometimes we do get many newcomers on this forum (Usually with regards to Ownership, Stadium Deals and Transfer targets) who tell such information will come to fruit and it doesn't however there are some people and I believe this one to be genuine where people come on to the forum to express the truth because they have the answers.

So when Spoinkop says he knows of two people who had tickets from Northampton is that data driven?

By implication you are saying that the posters who say this are lying. Do you believe them? Do you believe Spoinkop?

Move along indeed. Not bloody likely. More and more stuff comes out every day about the twisted dealings of Sisu. And still, still, still, some of you on here try and deflect it away.
If only Appleton and a few others would tell the truth, they may still do.
I know two people in Northampton who were offered free tickets.

Who is defending them? They are just trying to be realistic and say that we know 4 tickets are being given out to ball boys so it adds up.

I think it was said ages ago they would get free tickets to a game.

My point is it definitely was dodgy dealings and 'the truth always comes out' without question. So I thought hang on. That's a letter in response to another letter, maybe there is more to this. Then a couple of people said its probably the ball boy thing. Sounds possible. Next someone whips out 'Sisu apologist' again like a massive spastic.

And here we are now.

No, not all of them go to ball boys, I said in an earlier post there are many reasons for them.

I said it's a valid reason the ball boys are being offered them, it's a poor gesture as they are being sacked off but it's valid because it was said ages ago and isn't just to try and boost attendance or whatever.

.. because as soon as someone comes in with a comment that SISU are boosting attendances you come in with some form of SISU reasoning.

Giving tickets to someone who normally does not get them is boosting attendances to suit there ends regardless of how deserving they are.

Problem is most on here assume you must be impartial - so please be impartial. Better start saying;

Timmy fish face fishhook fisher is a wanker
10,000 tickets have been given away at Northampton "so I've heard"
1,000 on the hill even though it looks like 10
Joyless is an evil lesbian witch
ACL are great
Council are awesome
Ann Lucas gives me an erection
Waggot is a faggot

I think you'll find no one will question your neutrality then.

No, I just try to think of things logically. If sisu are out in Northampton handing tickets out to people walking by then I can understand and totally agree it is just to boost.

Free tickets were given out at the ricoh, it happens at a lot of clubs if not all to all sorts of people and they were always banded about. Whether it is academy, players family, sponsors, armed forces there are loads of reasons why they were given out.

Giving them to local schools in Northampton I don't agree with, putting a coach on for loads of cov kids is a great idea though.

Were we boosting attendences at the ricoh too? I once got free tickets to hr in corporate, didn't pay a penny so were they boosting attendences then?

This point has been made a million times: it's about the proportion of tickets that are free. As always the club could give numbers and put this whole thing to bed, but won't.

That said, they'd be crazy to not be giving out tickets at this time, even if it wasn't standard practice, the question is how many?

But then should they increase the free tickets for popular games? Why does it matter so much if they pack the stadium out with free tickets, they aren't making money?

Because as usual they are conning people and in turn trying to justify that what they did was right and that it has a large backing.

Same old bullshit from our owners we don't care about the fans because they are all wrong. sorry but the more I hear about the untruths told the more I hate them.

If you want to defend them that's your right just thought you were brighter then that.

you need to go back and read your threads constantly mocking the trust and posters who feel they have to do something defending posters like Grendel NW, RFc shows which part of the court you are moving towards.

Sorry if I have read your posts wrong but that is the way I and other posters I know see it.

Where have I mocked? What has that got to do with free tickets? I'm not defending anybody or anything. Just because I fall to get hysterical and would rather look at all sides in the matter rather than jump on a hysteria bandwagon what is wrong with that? Am I not allowed an opinion?

The full story
YOUNG football fans have had their dreams shattered

As stories of the dramatic effects of the decision for the Sky Blues to groundshare with the Cobblers for at least the next three years continue to roll in, it seems the next generation of die-hard fans are being hit just as hard.

Eleven-year-old Aoife Carey has waited patiently for years to be given the honour of being a ball girl for her idols - and was delighted when her chance had finally come after she was selected for the upcoming season.

The Coundon schoolgirl became a Junior Sky Blue aged just two weeks old and attended her first game at the age of three.

Now she's been left heartbroken by the club moving away from the Ricoh Arena The arena became the venue for Coventry City's home games at the start of the 2005-06 season, following 106 years at the Highfield Road stadium. The first competitive football match played at the Ricoh Arena was against Queens Park Rangers on 20 August 2005, in as her family will not be travelling to the Sixfields next season.

Aoife said: "Next season I was supposed to start being a ball girl and have done two trial matches so far.

"Since the end of the season I've been so excited about going back to the Ricoh and now I won't be able to do that.

"We are Coventry City and we must play in Coventry.

"My family were all season ticket holders and will no longer watch the City until we play in Coventry."

Her mum Sarah added: "We are totally in the dark and have heard nothing from the club. Aoife was really excited, but now we aren't going to be going to Northampton.

"It is heartbreaking for her as it is every little boy and girl's dream to be a ball boy or girl for their favourite team. It isn't just Aoife though - this affects everyone and the whole city." been Coventry's games " Another youngster whose plans to watch his beloved team have gone up in Sky Blue smoke is Scott McGhee , who won a competition on the pitch at the Ricoh last season. The 14-year-old from Binley took the top prize in the half-time ball in the boot competition and had been told to expect a minimum of at least two season tickets.

But, like hundreds of families, in the city, the 68-mile round trip to Northampton is out of the question. His mum, Jenny Ring, said: "With him being 14, I would willingly take him up to the Ricoh with his brother and stepfather, but I won't be taking him to Northampton for games.

"He is a season ticket holder anyway and loves going to games but now everything has gone a bit pear-shaped. Scott also plays football on Sundays, so if Coventry have to play games on Sundays he won't be able to go and watch anyway.

"It really is a shame for him and his brother as they are part of a new generation of fans coming through and they are going to be left out."

Not only do ALL clubs give a proportion of free tickets away to fans, potential fans, corporates, charities, schools, players, staff, and so on; most clubs also send some free tickets to visiting clubs to distribute as they see fit (staff, players' families, etc, etc, etc.

If something warrants mocking I'll mock it. I like speaking out against hysteria. I'll continue to do that. It's fun. I'm in no way defending Sisu, or pro Sisu. I understand there are many dimwits who can't see the difference but that's not my problem.

OMG I MUST BE FISHER.
Fuck off.

I'm aware you weren't talking directly about me, but fuck it.
