We are playing a friendly behind closed doors today v Peterborough. Not sure on our full team but it is seemingly made up of players returning from injury and players whi haven't featured much this season.

We were 4-0 up at half time, as well as missing a penalty and hitting the woodwork three times!

Some brief updates here:

http://www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~2449720,00.html?

Think there's about half an hour left.

And why is our website so useless? Posh are providing some coverage of an away friendly. We can't even be bothered to send someone down to the ground for some updates.

Cody McDonald? I would have thought this would be a good run out for him?

Good news about sheffers getting 3,

Can only be good for the lad coming back into the diamond formation.

Spot on Gaz.

We were very dangerous at the back end of last season with Sheff's at the tip of the diamond. His movement is excellent as is his ability to win free kick and pens - not to mention being a very good goalscoring midfielder.

We've really missed him. Bell and Baker just aren't as good in that role.

Any word on what kind team Posh put out?

If they played a reasonably strong side this has to be a good sign.

Barry Fry was in goal, so make of that what you will.

Explains McSheffrey scoring 3 anyway.

Lewis was in goal, the best player in their side by some distance. Many City fans had him down as a potential replacement for Westwood. But Barry Fry WOULD have covered the whole goal

From what I read it was CCFC reserves vs Posh reserves.

Well hopefully he finds some form now because i thought he was awful against leicester and we are lacking some quality from baker or bell (although baker was decent against derby).

Baker and Bell showed vast improvements against Derby IMHO...

If he hs to fight for his place and is fully fit, McSheffrey would relish playing in a side playing the style we played on Saturday. Lets hope he can get back to the form of the end of last season. I'm his biggest fan, but think he's been poor so far this season. He didn't look near match fit in the opening few games.

Agreed. I'm also a big fan of his and thought he was our best player (MK aside) at the end of last season, but he was terrible against Leicester and marginally better against Brum.

Looking forward to a midfield of...

Clingan

Biggie - Deegan

McSheff

With Juke and CMD up top.

and also leaves mr liverpool connor thomas as the forgotten man/boy on subs bench, he could yet be a breakout star for us this season like cyrus and gail!
