Coventry’s Ellis Simms, facing Leeds United, scored his tenth first-half goal in his past eight appearances in all competitions over the past six weeks, twice as many as any other league player in that period (Wrexham’s Paul Mullin is next with five).
I, like many, was so despondent at the start of the season, not seeing how the hell we would replace Gus and Vik's 33 goals from last year, and here we are with at least 6 games left with our top two scorers sat on 35. Lovely stuff.
What I really liked about him at the weekend (granted, I only saw the 2nd half) but he seemed to be bullying the CBs more than I've seen him do so before.
He seems so much more confident and it's paying dividends. Good on him.
Good on him - came in to replace a top European striker which will basically an impossible ask. Kept going and grinded his way his way into form and high confidence. The change in system suited him and wright so much more and if anything he’s looking a snip for the price!
Considering there were genuine fears from some at Xmas that between them they wouldn't manage double digits between them it is a bloody marvelous return

Absolutely. There are idiots on here who clearly don't have 2 brain cells to put together. Our top 2 goal scorers last season, who we sold for a combined £30+ million, achieved 30 goals in the Championship. Simms and Wright are on 28 goals with 6 matches still to play.
Probably also worth mentioning, Gyokeres scored 22 goals in all competitions last season. Simms is on 18 goals having played 1800 minutes less - equivalent to 20 matches.
