Next season could see us in the third tier of English football playing 'derby' games against Walsall, Wolves. Northampton and Peterbro. Wasn't the origin 'Sky Blues song' about 'proud posh and cobblers? Also wasn't the promotion, and record crowd, against Wolves? Can Pressley be the next JH?

IN 1962-63 we were almost got promoted but fell away after going out in the cup,made a poor finish just like this season.
then the following season,we were at it from the start and went up.

And the first 'song' opponents were Colchester, so it was 'Oysters or anyone'! (whom they also beat to go up).

That's the brand-new forward line in the first airing of the sky-blue kit: Humphries (my all-time no.1), Barr (movement issues), Bly (great old-fashioned centre-forward), Whitehouse ('the blond ghost'), Laverick (whom Jimmy bought more on looks than judgement). No 'one-up-front' nonsense in those days! Just wing-play, midfield craft and steam-hammer central strikers.
