Weird how one player can divide opinion like this. Some people saying he's awful, others saying potential to be best in the division.
So 13 games does not count as premier league experience because you dont like him?No, I compared him to an actual experienced premier league midfielder. The first one I could think of.
13 games for Newcastle in a few years is hardly calling for a testimonial.
Nouble had premier league experience and was awful. Same with Simeon JacksonSo 13 games does not count as premier league experience because you dont like him?

Why have we got a habit of hanging on to bang average(at best)players?I'm not on the wind-up, I genuinely believe Gael has the potential to be a very good player at this level. I only seem him in a handful of games last season and bar his debut 10/15 minute appearance (which granted was very poor), I thought he looked a class above most other players on the field. Exactly the same as what I thought during his original spell with us.
If we do sign him this season, I very much look forward to the "I told you so" thread that will pop up around May 2017.
I'd take him back in a heartbeat. A few games under his belt and completely match-fit, he'd be one of the best midfielders in this division.
People who cannot see his ability and potential do not understand football and should start following rounders instead.
Swindon signed C Thomas for 3 fucking years so I guess theirs hope for any footballer who fancied a dabble at League 1 levelSo every league one club will. E clamouring for his signature then?
I'll say it, seeing that no-one else will, he's fucking shit. He angers me every time he passes back the ball because that is all the headless twat can do.
You will not even find 20 people in this forum who would be happy to take that twat back.
Gael if you ever read SBT, take this as advice, give up football, move into hair dressing, stop stealing a wage and earn your money properly like most other immigrants do in this country.
Good. I didn't see much in him the first time round. Just a fairytaleAnybody with any common sense would take him back in a heartbeat. He's a championship level player IMO.
But i assume the geordies will want a few quid, and he'll have to accept quite a significant pay cut...can't see it happening myself
Pardew. Newcastle's 13th manager (including temps!) since Sir Bobby!Wasn't it Bobby Robson that signed Bigi? can't remember now
Is the op taking the piss
He ran that midfield in the absence of fleckChrist he's not that bad. Played well on a few occasions last season, notably Bradford away.
Needs a full season playing week in week out to see where's he's at. Not sure we have the budget to make that gamble though

"I'm leaning on my midfield partner in the centre of the pitch and hoping that my last pass doesn't go too wide, oh me! Oh my! I've yet again passed to the opposition oh I could die"!Nope, he's more ukulele.
Who said he was an experienced premier league footballer? No, 13 games doesn't make somebody an experienced Premier League footballer whether I like them or not.

I suggest you read it again before you jump on itThe post I was replying to?

So he has had premier league experience then?He has actually started only 3 premier league games - most of his other substitute appearances were late appearances so in terms of game time it's a lot less.
It's also irrelevant as to his ability now.
So he has had premier league experience then?

Hardly enough to want to sign him based on it as implied is it?
Looks like Mourinho doesnt want Juan Mata again, is he shit too?It wouldn't matter how many games he played - he is now in the championship and they still don't want him - also it seems no bids have come in which is odd of he is such a special talent who just needs a few games under his belt.
