Yes mate that's why I've stuck with them all these years. So you only support them if they are in the higher leagues?
Yep fans will never turn up for a tinpot final either...yeah, if we get promoted I shall be sitting on my hands muttering loudly about how far we've fallen and aggressively tutting at those who are celebrating.
So what was your point?Yes mate that's why I've stuck with them all these years.
If we play well, score some goals, win some games, crowds will improve as will the atmosphere.Again, would be reasonable, however would counter that with the only way to improve the atmosphere would be bums on seats.
All these people criticising fans for wanting to go to away games, yet many preached that we should respect each other's decisions. Bit hypocritical if you ask me.So what was your point?
Fair enoughAll these people criticising fans for wanting to go to away games, yet many preached that we should respect each other's decisions. Bit hypocritical if you ask me.
So your purpose in pointing out Newcastle are not in League 2 was that we should respect each others decisions? All these people criticising fans for wanting to go to away games, yet many preached that we should respect each other's decisions. Bit hypocritical if you ask me.
Yes Newcastle dropped a division and their owner heavily invested. This is not comparable to our situation where people are choosing to go to the away games due to the politics surrounding the club. People are now being criticised for only going away, when people said that everyone should respect each other's decisions when fans who renewed their season tickets were criticised. Is that not hypocritical? So your purpose in pointing out Newcastle are not in League 2 was that we should respect each others decisions?
Toby fayre m8, they did have Premier League parachute payments too.Yes Newcastle dropped a division and their owner heavily invested.
And that would be a perfectly reasonable argument.
There's just no evidence to support the not wanting to fund Sisu argument any more.
And there is no evidence for SISU not to be grateful of the fan base the team has. Seppala's refusal to make any comment for the fans when exiting the court just breeds contempt. She knew the date, win or lose there should have been a statement.
It seems whenever there are positives SISU are hell bent on ramming negatives down the fans throat.
There is every argument for not wanting to fund SISU anymore; however the reality of its effectiveness is another matter.
I don't think anyone would disagree with that. For me it's just about more fans means better atmosphere and a better playing budget. Nothing more, nothing less. It's about supporting the team, I couldn't give a fuck about Seppala and her crooked pals.
Buying tickets is not funding Sisu though. The accounts don't show any evidence of them taking money out.
Let the rest of us pay for the team while you fund our rivals in the league then. I hope the away tickets sell out to season ticket holders.
Out of interest, why away only? There is absolutely no evidence of Sisu taking money out of the club and they don't want to put money in, so not going to home games makes absolutely no difference to Sisu but will lower the playing budget. Just wondered what the logic was?
A number of reasons why but possibly because I do not want to commit to every game, or the football was poor or I don't trust our owners or maybe I just don't care enough anymore.
What has going to a home game got to do with trusting the owners though?
If you didn't care any more, you wouldn't go to every away gameIt will be the same 11 players playing at away games in League 2, so the poor football stuff doesn't really add up for going to away games only. It won't suddenly be Brazil playing at Newport Away.
Of course it is up to you, I haven't said that it isn't.
I just don't get the "the football is crap", "I dont care any more" so I am going to away games only. No need to pussyfoot about if it's a boycott.
I think some of you lot are forgetting how bad last season was. Many of our home games were described by people who were these as 'the worst CCFC performance I have seen in my lifetime' and the 'worst squad we have ever had'. It's bit early to be expecting unbounded optimism. Give it a few games; if we play entertaining football and win more than we lose, the crowds will slowly come back.
Most fans not going is nothing to do with NOPM most of last season I witnessed some of the worst performances ever, apart from the Wembley experience we were hopeless and relegation certainties from Christmas and now we are in division 4, read that again division FOUR ffs! Admittedly we picked up towards the end of the season but I suspect it will need a massive effort to entice supporters back. I know a number of die hard s who have given up the ghost

Better off wallowing about being league 2 like youYeah, let's all get excited about being promoted to Divison 3 even if it did happen :hungover:
They might not be, but they are very much influencing what is happening to the club. I have said it countless times before, they keep missing chances to engage the fans and get them on board. I can't believe anybody, not even an amateur, could be that bad at marketing.
It is almost like they want to disengage the fans and winding down the club suits their purpose. Which fits their futile attempts at claiming damages.
The players, manager and coaching staff have my full
it would seem so, we lost support on relegation from the prem, we lost more on relegationDo people only go depending on the league we are in then/
Of course they do, older fans especially perhaps spoilt by 34 years top flight football, Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool and all that season after season but now it's Accrington Stanley, Forest Green and Yeovil. I think the attendances will shock us to be honest, the opening gate v Notts County I think despite the opening fixture, localish derby I doubt we'll get much more than 7000 and that could be one of our highest gatesDo people only go depending on the league we are in then/

From the Championship, and still more on relegation from league 1, so some are more
Attached than others.
Throughout the era of these relegations one thing has stayed the same, the owners with
There unwillingness to engage the fans, and push the club forward.
If they don't have the will or the means to at least try and grow the club they should move
Aside, the fact we have some supporters who give fellow supporters more shit for giving
Up, than they give Owners who gave up years ago, beggars belief IMO
But it's been shown they can't win in court, it's also been shown they have no intention ofI liked this post. But I don't think SISU have given up. However their plan isn't around running a football club on tradition lines. Their route is through the court's, a relationship with the fans is irrelevant to their business model.
But it's been shown they can't win in court, it's also been shown they have no intention of
investing or trying to do their best for the club its needs or its supporters.
So how haven't they given up, the only thing they haven't given up is ownership, in every
Other respect 'where the club is concerned' they've given up.

I have got behind the team for the last 32 years with season tickets etc but didn't buy one this year. This IS because of the owners. I will go to away games(not worried about small allocations as know 2 people who have renewed but don't go away regularly) to "support the lads" but will be travelling independent of club coaches etc. Hey, I might even pat Juggy on the back when he's on the minibus with us.:emoji_rolling_eyes:Make of that what you will and do whatever suits you best.
To be fair, not die hards if they have given up the ghost! I get the sentiment, however, the improvement came under Robins who is still here. I'd also argue our squad is better than last year in a worse league. We are where we are and I can't just switch off my support regardless of the division.
